I disagree.

Our Oline is good enough to run the ball. We average over 6 ypc in SEC play, haven't given up many sacks either.

Our WRs are a liability at times and our QB is a liability 90% of the time.

We can play smash mouth right now and hit the TEs over the top or across the middle. We just aren't doing it and we are not sticking with the run.

IMO, we should run the ball 75% of the time with AC3, JWill, Small, and Marshall.

I've seen way to many vertical routes called, he could get away with that with Bray who had good arm strength and fast WRs.

Allen's arm isn't that strong, our WRs have no where near that speed.

Bert needs to treat him like I had to treat my pup, when he shits all over the place you rub his nose in it, slap his arse, and tell him "NO!". Bert needs to take the vertical pass plays, rub Chaney's nose in them, kick him in the arse, and tell him "NO!".

I agree with Hawgeye on this issue and this game is a QB game now and we don't have one playing

You guys forget how terrible Derpy is after one bad game by Allen.

ETA: I don't count the game before bc the receivers were shite.

Derpy isn't terrible.

I think he gets that stigma because he was a scape goat for that Rutgers game, when in reality he isn't why we lost.

You get about the same completion percentage with both, but Derp doesn't have the ints.

The fact I am even pulling for an Iowa LB to start right now just shows you how shitty Allen is.

I don't see how he has any choice but to start Allen. Derby didn't turn it over because he didn't throw it. As bad as he's been, Allen has still been better then Derby.

My biggest complaint is that Mitchell isn't our starter. I know that's water under the bridge now, but it's still the critical error that has us where we are now, without any other options at QB.

Apparently, Bielema said today that both Austin Allen and Mitchell scrimmaged yesterday. He said Allen looked good on one series and Mitchell looked good on two but neither of them is ready to move the chains in an SEC game.

Derby is an awful quarterback and there is no other way to put it. Allen has been terrible the past couple of weeks but he is the best we have. Allen starts throwing behind receivers and overthrowing receivers when he starts freaking out. Derby does it all the time because he fricking sucks. He has a noodle arm and zero accuracy.

Although Derby would allow Bielema to reign Chaney in without hurting his feelings. With Derby in you have no chance at completing a pass over 15 yards, so Chaney will have to stick with the run and short intermediate routes.

I can agree with that. Which I think is what hawgeye was getting at. Derby may give us a better chance to win in that regard. However if and when we get behind in the score we fricked. Not sure our defense is good enough atm to play like that...

I have google. I ask for links so you won't just make up some bullshite and pretend it's fact. Oddly enough you've been doing that a lot the past couple weeks.

Can't say I'm surprised you don't have a link though.

But Coach B said that B Mitch couldn't start because he made mistakes in the red zone..

Huge mistake by CBB letting B.Mitch transfer. The kid has been committed to the U of A since he got here, he deserved the chance to start...

I don't think B Mitch was nearly as liked or respected by his teammates as we perceived. I'm 100% assuming but you see our players mentioning and talking back sand forth with Mckay and even Whitehurst all the time on twitter and Instagram. I don't remember seeing one mention of B Mitch since he left.

It's a skewed stat.

1. We averaged 6.7 yards a carry against Texas A&M. They have the 2nd worst rush defense in the league, second only to Kentucky. 104th in the country.

2. We averaged 3.83 ypc against Florida and only had 111 rush yards. We were exposed.

3. We averaged 9.1 ypc against Carolina, another bogus stat because Keon Hatcher's 50 yard run/fumble and William's 45 yard run skew the total.

This is also not a weighted average, it's total yards divided by total carries. For a more accurate representation you would need a weighted average between Collins and Williams, and you would need to throw out the anomalies like Hatcher's run, considering he's a receiver and hardly has any carries on the season.

*Bonus Stat*

We averaged 2.97 yards per carry with your boy Derby vs. Rutgers.
