I haven't liked Auburn since I moved to Baton Rouge over 20 years ago. I definitely wasn't an LSU fan, I'll be a loyal Razorback forever, but I saw all of the shite over the years that AU stirred up with LSU first hand. It was so bad, I pulled for LSU whenever they played. Now, since I cannot stand Malzahn, for the myriad of reasons posted by others in this thread, the dislike is more personal.
I was pulling for Mizzou in the SEC Championship game. However, since AU won that game, and will compete for the national title due to Ohio State's (whom I despise) loss, I will throw my support to Auburn in that contest. For me, the importance of supporting the SEC in a national championship game overrides the disdain I might feel toward any one team in this conference.
I will always pull for an SEC team to be in the national championship game because I believe this is, overwhelmingly, the best conference in the country, and I will probably always root for said SEC team to win it. That's just how I am.
So, congrats, Auburn, and continued good luck.

Let me guess. Their over here lurking and trying to turn it into a melt down. If we had just won the SEC Championship and get to play in the BCSNC another teams board is the last place I'd be. Kinda pathetic to that we're still on their minds.

Don't be too hard on the Auburn fans. They know that they'll never accomplish anything legitimately so this is all they have.

I would root against Auburn if they were playing a Sandusky led prison team....

yup. it's sad really
but I think I figured it out. it's just their little brother syndrome showing its ugly head. taking that into consideration, it all makes sense

Frank Broyles and Darrell Royal battled at the highest level, but were close friends. I don't see the reason for all of the hate toward him?

Help me understand how what Shilo has done and is still doing causes all this hatred for Gus?

They buy their players. Boosters pay for the tuition of players so they will play for them. Then go out to these small schools, at the time around 2500 pop., and kick their damn teeth in.

to be fair, lots of people ran up the score on greenbrier up until recently when they became competitive
my sophmore and junior year we only won one or two games each year. my senior year in 2004 we went 6-6. best season greenbrier had since moving into the 4A west with greenwood, alma, harrison, siloam springs and others. we were one game away from going to the playoffs but lost to morrilton. they brought josh trezvant up from the JV squad because their season was over and the dude ran circles around us.
Think I was only able to tackle him once eta: after my senior year greenbrier went back downhill till they hired their most recent coach randy tribble in 07. took him 2 or 3 after after being hired to make them competitive

As for Shiloh, there are recruits that he had their tuition paid by wealthy members of the Church in order to get around AAA rules. THe newest rules are actually Called the "Malzahn Rule" by insiders as a joke. He cheats every way possible. Just WIn Baby! Its a God thing....

Now lets insert the following teams that do it down here: LRCA, PA, LRCatholic, CAC, Conway Christian, Episcopal, NLR, Central, Parkview, PB Dollorway, etc.
Can't speak on the NWA schools, since I'm not up there. To the point of a certain school runs up the score on a team, I say: "Get Better". I've told all of my players that went up against travel teams from California, Florida, and Texas.
Life isn't fair and most people bend/break the rules, getter better or get left behind.
