None of them will work, It is a Toshiba I7 Satellite hd
I will give more specs tomorrow if I don't figure it out.
and it has been over 30 days... I initially thought it was the tsa screeners messing it up, but now it appears to be Windows 10 or something else. Thanks FMB!

No problem, I'll help when I can, and definitely disable fast start up when you can. I'll even remote in for you if you are at your wits end. I do this stuff for a living and I'm trustworthy. I've stolen less than 5 identities and only murdered a couple three people.

You've tried different USB ports with the same results? Sounds like it might be a USB issue, not recognizing that you've plugged in the receiver for the mouse.

LOL, that is great FMB...
This morning I went into device manager, disabled all usb capability, re enabled it, deleted the driver and reinstalled. It now works, give it 3 days. it has been doing the same thing at least every 3 days. If it continues I will ask for help. TY to all...
