Yep if you're serious about fixing this fk it, buy the dude out and hire the best guy (not most expensive).

Honestly that's what the AD needs to do to show potential coaches that we want to win.

I don't think so Ray. Sumlin might suck, but he knows how to beat Bert.

I think Arkansas will win and will win a couple more where we're underdogs but then will inexplicably lose to Missouri. And there will be other horribly embarrassing losses. Just like before.

CBB will be here unless we only win 1 SEC game.

Unless he and long figure a way to structure him leaving for much less and him saving face by resigning. And I am not sure that is for the best.

Possible vacancies this year
Florida
Tenner
Auburn
Tamu
Ole Miss
LSU???
Arkansas
Missouri

I am not sure we want to go against them all this season, perhaps wait a year etc. Not trying to be a defeatist, just pragmatic and sensible.

Winning over aTm this year will be overruled by an inexplicable loss to NM State.

Winning at A&M this year is scoring mad points in the second half.

So basically an impossibility under this staff.

If we tank this year, he's gone. People make a bigger deal of the buyout than it is.

If we have a middling to bad season this year, I think he leaves on his own for another job. I don't have any inside info, just a feeling. I think he knows he's in over his head in this league and that he's mismanaged our roster, which will put him further behind.

Most importantly, people focus on our end of the buyout but are totally neglecting to look at his end of it. Right now and through 2017, if Bert wants out, all he or his new program have to do is cut a check for $2 million. That goes down to $1 million on January 1. So we may be handcuffed to Bert, but he's not handcuffed to us financially.

I could see him leaving for just about any Big Ten job should one come open.

This.

I'll believe a Bert win over A&M when I see it. We own A&M historically, but Sumlin absolutely owns Bert.

Delusion runs deep

As much as ya'll want Bert gone, he won't go quietly into the night.

He just looks miserable as frick and clueless, and he's sure as shite not used to competition like this or losing with this frequency. I'm not proclaiming it's going to happen, it's just a feeling I have.

Here's hoping he's less of a douchebag when he leaves here than he was when he left Wisconsin. The twitter wars with Wisconsin fans for his first 6 months here were downright childish.

Dude it's going to be bad. Some idiot will do something and it will be a ESPN newscast.

That or TMZ but yes I do feel bad for him when he leaves, and I personally hope it's a positive transition.

Are you telling me, with a straight face, that you're wanting our coach to be fired on the very day he's going to be coaching this team in the College Football playoffs? I'm in shock.

Ah yes, the "How can we miss you if you won't go away" bowl.

A&M just wants Sumlin to be shown the door, the worst thing that could happen is he stumbles to 9-10 wins this year in a horribly down West.

Arkansas, on the other hand, wants to Bert to do well... we just have about zero faith he will pull it off. Its like watching a hometown girl sing on American Idol knowing that she couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.

It will be a game for the ages, which is to say the years it will take off all of our livers.
