Vino's is 0.4 miles from the hotel. I like the La quinta...I can get a shuttle from the airport Friday which is nice (no cab fare), and can walk to Vinos from there. I think it's a good setup.

The La Quinta is fairly close to 3 good micro-breweries: Vino's, Diamond Bear (600 N. Broadway, NLR), and Stone's Throw (402 E 9th St, LR), so you'll be surrounded by pretty good beer options.

Oh, and I think Uber is on the LR Board of Directors agenda for tomorrow evening. It encountered some political opposition, so it will be interesting to see if they can get that squared away sooner rather than later.

Well now I realize the original Uber question is irrelevant. The hotel has a shuttle to get me from the airport Friday night, my eat/drink Friday will be walking distance, and my buddy is picking me up Saturday. I'll prob just end up staying at the La Quinta saturday too and get a shuttle sunday.

Downtown LR isn't as dangerous as many large cities, but the hood isn't all that far to the south or to the east, so do be careful and aware of your surroundings if you end up out walking around after dark.

Yeah on Friday I'll just head to vino's which is super close so no worries there. If I do end up going out Saturday night, I'll only go if I'm with one of yall. I'm not just gonna wander around aimlessly by myself.
