I see that the big UGA/Arkansas game thread I started this summer is locked for some reason...could an admin un-anchor it since season is approaching?

Anyway, I'm trying to coordinate my travel plans. In a perfect situation, I could just take an Uber from my hotel to the airport on Sunday so I don't have to rely on other people to drive me.

Hmmm interesting, any chance by October?

Even if not, how far of a taxi ride would it be from the airport to the stadium area? I haven't gotten a room yet so I don't know where I'll book.

I think at the moment, I'll fly in solo Friday afternoon and just stay at a hotel by the airport. Btw if anyone wants to hang out I'm free ha. Then early Saturday my buddy will pick me up (he's driving through the night from ATL) and we'll go to the game. After that, things are still up in the air. No idea where we'll stay yet Sat. night.

Airport to downtown river market area is a short cab ride.

I'd look at hotels there, even if you're by yourself one night, you can still find a bar to hang out and chill at. We used to always stay at The Capital downtown. Peabody is good, but it's another name now.

Lots of bars and food options on the Rivermarket and it's not too far from the stadium.

So...my advice...get a room downtown for Friday and Saturday...lay low Friday night and just grab dinner and some drinks at a local spot...Have a grand time drowning your sorrows Saturday on the Rivermarket while enjoying the company of celebratory Hog fans.

If you link it in here, I'll unlock it. I guess threads on team boards get locked automatically after a certain point of inactivity.

Uber's statement regarding Little Rock:

Bennett says the company has received an overwhelming response from people living in Little Rock and they are currently exploring the demand. He says,"We would like to be in any city right now where transportation options fall short."

I knew they were hosting the Little Rock Aggie Club's pre-SW Classic yell practice. Are they hosting the Georgia pep rally too?

Ok I booked a direct flight into the bill and Hilary airport (Adams field I think, LIT is the abbreviation) for Friday afternoon. On these long trips I typically like to take in the sights and spend a few days but since I'll be solo I'm just getting there early evening Friday. Staying at the Travel lodge near the airport. Buddy is picking me up at dawn Saturday, then idk where we'll stay Saturday yet. Flying out late Sunday afternoon.

Is there anything I can do solo within a few mile cab ride from my hotel Friday? It's cool if not, I'm fine chilling in the room.

There is nothing out by the airport, but it's not far into downtown. I would have just gotten a room down there, but it is more expensive.

Well since it's just me by myself and I'm only going to be there for literally a few hours, I just went cheap. My buddy is getting me at like 6 or 7am Saturday morning and we're staying somewhere else Saturday since there will be more of us. There was another hotel I can't remember that I looked at that was the closest to the airport, and had airport shuttles, but it was like $120 for the night and the travel lodge is just $79.

So I guess my best play is just hang out in the room? How far is it to downtown, how much would a taxi be approximately?

Downtown isn't far from the airport. Not sure on cab cost, but it's only about a 5 min ride maybe 10 min.

Little Rock really isn't THAT big. It's only 190k or so. I would have figured you could have gotten a decent room downtown for less than $100.

Little Rock folks, is Bobby Sox still kicking south of the airport?
