I'm as frustrated as anyone about our defense,but smith proved he could be effective with the right players.Maybe things aren't as bleak as they appear..

I'm so tired of hearing this. We just returned practically everyone on defense and proceeded to trot out the worst FBS defense in a decade.
If Robb Smith's prerequisites to field even a semblance of a decent defense are to have the SEC Defensive POTY and 3 other NFL draft picks, then we're setting an absurdly high bar.
That's essentially like saying "Nutt was pretty good when he had 3 NFL tailbacks and 2 top 50 picks on defense."

He'd be better in the NFL than college. He can't motivate or inspire kids.

Dude is extremely thin skinned and gets out schemed and out coached almost weekly in the sec... He would be a disaster in the NFL... The fans would turn on him within a year...
Dude's not going anywhere except maybe Illinois like one poster said. I can only see him leaving for either the big 10, a job in Florida or K's state... That's it.
The thing is though, he's not leaving Arkansas. Bert is going to dig in his heels and MAKE Arkansas pay him that $15 mil. Jen's gold digging arse ain't cheap to live with.
Also, Jeff Long should absolutely be fired when his 2 golden boys Mike and Bert both get canned after next season. He she one that hired fatass because he wrote him a fricking letter and Mike... well, I think we all like him perosnal lyrics but the program is dead to the fans. There just no juice. I haven't wanted nor have I watched 1 minute of hog basketball this year... I simply don't care anymore.
