No way hurts deserves first team all sec just because he's on the best team. Also feel like hatcher and/or Morgan played well enough to get the honor.

I like college football alot, but the inherent bias is nauseating, and it's always been there.

I like Austin but from the Auburn game on he had 5 TDs to 6 INTs. Plus he doesn't have the rushing numbers to add to his total like some of the others do.

Allen ended the season as a very average QB.

I think he had an injury that was worse than let on and hopefully he comes back next year in the same form he was first half of this year.

In his defensive he took a ton of shots over the season. A lot of which were someone coming untouched into the backfield bearing down on him.

His tendency to stand tall in the pocket only made it worse.

Yeah but the let Chad Kelly get in 2nd team and he didn't even finish the season. And they put Josh Dobbs 2nd team. Anyone who thought Josh Dobbs was a better qb than Austin Allen at anytime this year is on some good shite.

arkansas has zero defensive players on the coaches' first or second team all-SEC, and only two offensive players (Skipper, 1st team, RWIII, 2nd team).

not good!

This.

Pre-Auburn he was practically a shoe-in for first or second team. After Auburn he was bordering on being a liability at times, and was extremely up and down.

I've thrown a ton of shade at Bert this year, but he is right when he says that Austin holds on to the ball too long in the pocket.

I'm hoping that the second half woes were attributed to injury and nothing mental.

I don't think we had any last year on defense, either (not counting Greenlaw making the freshman team). You could make a case for Pulley, but I can't blame them for not wanting to select anyone from the worst college defense in a quarter century.

Also, Skipper making first team is laughable. He was a complete liability in pass protection, and looked like he regressed significantly over the course of the season.

Aside from Rawleigh, the only player who deserved any all conference mention was Toby Baker. That should tell you all you need to know about how our season went.
