Speaking of cheap golf, Hindman is closed for awhile. They are putting champions bermuda in. It's about time they did something about those greens.

The one in Cabot is really nice. Greystone I think it's called? I've only been out there once, but I was impressed.

It used to be a lot nicer and was either completely private or semi-private but they couldn't keep up with the costs. They spent money on ridiculous stuff, though. I remember at one point in time all of the carts were equipped with giant touch-screen GPS monitors, and this was probably 10 years ago so the technology was stupid expensive.

Anyways, it was shut down for a while but the back 18 has recently been reopened and I think the front 18 was purchased by a separate group and will be reopening again shortly. They still have some work to do on the fairways and greens but it is coming along. It's a relatively challenging course as well and, since being reopened, it is extremely affordable as I think they are just trying to build up their player base.

I've never played Big Sugar. I've been tempted, but never gone.

How is it compared to Stonebridge?

Sorry it took so lWednesday to reply. I kinds forgot a bout this thread.

As the other poster said, it is a challenging course. It all depends on when they mowed last. Its kinda like Stonebridge with major elevation changes but with trees only being 10-40 yards from fairway which makes for some tight holes.

I call it placement golf. Most people get in trouble by always using driver when a shorter club with work and keep them out of trouble.

Its not as up kept as some, but the greens are nice. If you ever want a taste they do a 9 hole scramble, sign up by A,B,C,D player, on wed at 530. $15 for 9 with cart. $5 in pot to pay top 3 teams and optional $1 for closest to hole. Which I won last week, woot woot.

Let me know if you have anymore question. BRW I would be interested in a golf outing.

So just show up and its a blind draw? I would love to do this.

Played Scottsdale yesterday and I shot an 86, would that put me at a B or C player?

Call ahead and sign up. They will make up teams starting at 5. Its also BYOB. I plan on being there tomorrow. We will play the back 9. They switch every other week. With an 86 at Scottsdale that would put you as a A-B player. I would just tell them your handicap. They will place you. If you do go ask for me. They know the name.

Cool. Just called and signed up. I'll see you tomorrow. My name is Greg and I'll ask around and find you to introduce myself. Whats your name so I don't go around asking for O'Squeal?

I play every weekend in NWA. I prefer Stone Bridge, but my father in law is a member at Prairie Creek so if he offers to pay I play there. Not a fan of PC, too tough for me.

Most know me by O'Squeal. Front desk know me by Jim. I'll be there between 5 and 5:15. I would park down by the turn instead of up top by the carts. Makes it easier to leave afterwards. That's where I'm parking.

Also, just got in a new hybrid yesterday. Thing will fly the ball. It replaces my 3 iron and is a 50/50 shaft. Half steel half graphite. It's a Wilson Staff Fybrid 21*.

Ordered it off rock bottom golf for $40. Also got my Callaway FTiZ 3 wood from that site and that thing is awesome. For those that want good deals on golf equipment, is urge you to check that site out.

If any of you want to try and get together on a Saturday morning for 18, let me know.

I just have to tee off by about 8:00 am with all the crap I have going on.
