Nah I don't think Wright's realistic at all.

My initial thought was that it'd be calls that probably don't go anywhere but you kinda have to make just to see. The Sampson's and Drew's of the world.

Could also be smokescreen and/or complete bullshite.

If Beard's supposed interest is real, I don't know who you'd realistically vet above him.

I don't know there are several running around the boards pining Porter Moser as being a solid hire.

Some people will believe anything.

Murmurs going around that Beard isn't who is getting/got our first call.

My sauces told me that the first call went to Pio, but he turned it down so his mean wife wouldn't get more alimony.

If Beard will take the job, I hope HY just hires him and frees up more of Muss’ time to land his next job.

Sampson is way too old.

When’s the last time we had a coach longer than 5 years? Anderson made it what….7? You don’t think Kelvin could give us 7 or 8 years? Dude has been in the top 10 for most of the past 10 years at Houston

I have heard Wright's name liked to USC also... any self-respecting AD that want's to win at a high level would at least "kick the tires" on someone like him.
That said, I still think Beard is our number 1.

Muss wasn’t the best coach in the SEC

We get a chance to change that or at least get closer to the best

If HY hardballed Muss when he was fishing for a raise after such a shitty season and forced his hand; then had a quality hire lined up to fill the spot, he deserves some credit instead of all the shite he caught earlier this week. IMHO

HY’s job is on the line here. I bet his philosophy of not overpaying for a coach won’t matter in this hire. If not he’s a complete idiot.

The hire was already in motion, all HY has to do is not step on his own dick.

I think the job has to be open for a certain amount of days since it's technically a state position.

Zero way we wait that long.

Also, might be the first time ever we hired the big name everyone leaked out first.
