It doesn't take much coaching to do better than Chad. Sam just hasn't lost the team yet.
However that is in jeopardy and if it does then it wouldn't take long to get back to Chad level again.
The problem with that is Arkansas will let it slide again and will put them back in the same spot as in 2019.

Personally I’m still on board with this team. We have 3 disappointing losses but only the aggie game was out of reach due to their defensive front and pass rush.
Our 2 sec losses are to the front runners of the west and there are plenty of games left. I hope the team don’t become a bunch of bitching quitters.
I don’t quit supporting my basketball or baseball teams when they lose games but they have the luxury of the season not being over after 3 losses while they are trying to find an identity with a new lineup.
I’m going to enjoy watching and supporting the program as usual. I figured we’d lose at least 5 games so that’s still doable.

Really like the man but he's not the right coach for us, as demonstrated.
I'll say this, though. I pray our fans don't piss off Muss with how nasty it's still going to get with Pitt. They really like and admire each other.

I would hope that if Pitt really gives a shite about the program like he claims to, he'll do the honorable thing and retire if we can't manage to make a bowl.

I think you missed the point. It doesn't matter who is and isn't performing. It matters how the fans act, treat, berate, get after the non-performing coach. We have some real Azzhats as fans!

I'm specifically talking about how Eric may view the scrutiny and treatment of Sam. How quickly it can go from full support to get out with "us", the base. Just worries me.

Muss has plenty of cushion in his seat even if does a have bad year.
He just seems like a high level competitor who gets very angry when Arkansas has a loss.
Sam is the opposite with a confused look on his face.
Sam needs to get out of his seat, put down the beer and salvage this season before it gets worse.
We know by history when it gets bad, it doesn't rain but pour.
