So now that this year is in the books is there any reason to think next year could be better? I feel ilke our D can't be any worse and if Rob Smith has a pass rush we could be competitive. Losing Hatcher / Morgan hurts our passing game but Sprinkle didn't ever live up to his hype no loss there.

I also think Allen has been playing hurt. His numbers have been ok but he hasn't look the same since Auburn.

Questions going into next year -

Who are our other receivers after Cornelius?

Is Ragnow going pro if so who replaces him? If he stays does he slide to LT to replace Skipper?

Do the young defensive lineman have the ability to improve what was a hyped but unproductive unit? Agim has looked good, would like to know anyones thoughts on Capps and Guidry at DT.

Does Harris at MLB improve our D? Won't miss Brook Ellis.

Is there going to be one TE that locks down the top spot or will it be a platoon with Cantrell / O'Grady etc.

Any thoughts from those that have been around the program are appreciated.

I think it will be another 7-8 win year. Which is an absolute joke.

No, look at our recruiting class, it's fricking terrible.

Not even a single 4 star OL, his bread and butter my fricking arse.

He's gone next year when we go 5-7.

Rough lineup based on just elevating players. This doesn't factor in someone like Montaric Brown coming in and shaking things up.

QB - Austin Allen
RB - RW3 and Devwah Whaley
FB - Kendrick Jackson or Hayden Johnson
WR - Jared Cornelius
WR - Deon Stewart
WR - LaMichael Pettway or Jordan Jones
TE - Austin Cantrell
TE - Grayson Gunter or CJ O'Grady
LT - Brian Wallace
LG - Hjalte Froholdt
C - Frank Ragnow or Zach Rogers
RG - Johnny Gibson
RT - Colton Jackson or Jalen Merrick

DE - Michael Taylor
DT - Bihjon Jackson
DT - McTelvin Agim
DE - Tevin Beanum
LB - Dwayne Eugene
LB - De'Jon Harris
LB - Dre Greenlaw
NB - Kelvin Richardson
CB - Henre Toliver
S - Josh Liddell
S - Santos Ramirez or D'Andre Coley
CB - Ryan Pulley

Dan Skipper won't be here to lose a game yet again for us.

Funny how no one is talking about the holding penalty that turned 2nd and goal at the 10 into 2nd and goal at the 20.

There is so much blame to be spread around.

You don't lose a game like that to a team like that without it being s total team effort...

As good as he's been he is directly responsible for the loss to A&M a couple years ago and sure didn't help matters today.

That being said - why are we throwing a fade on 1st and goal from the 9?

I actually think Cantrell at TE is an upgrade. If I hadn't read about how good Sprinkle allegedly was I never would have thought much of him.

On the D-line I'd like to see Agim at around 260 and back out at DE. Let Capps and Guidry play the tackle spots with Bhijon Jackson rotating in.

Is Ramsey a LB or a DE? Ramsey - Harris - Greenlaw seems like a good middle of the D to me.

I can't figure out the seconday...some games they seem decent and can cover and then days like today they literally had WR just run right by them like they were stuck in the mud. Can't tell how much is schemes and how much is just shitty recruiting.

I fully expect Ramsey to replace Eugene.

Greenlaw, Scoota and Ramsey as our LB corp actually gives us a fighting chance to make some plays from the LB spots.

DE looks to be pretty terrible

OL, my lord if we lose Ragnow. With his father passing he may feel pressed to make money, but he needs to come back and get another year of conditioning and playing and get that degree.

RB looks in good shape, I like Hayden and Williams a lot in addition to what we have on campus, want to see Hammonds more involved.

QB, a healthy again Austin with another spring and summer under his belt will give us an advantage.

WR, lots of question marks but good talent ready to shine. We'll have a little more size and speed, we have no idea on their ball skills at this level though.

TE, Cantrell, O'Grady and Gunter give us nice options, if Patton sticks he can be a weapon. Who knows what's happening with Gragg and Bell.

Secondary, Pulley, Coley, Ramirez and #5 with more experience is a good thing. Hopefully Brown's the real deal and KRich in his Sr. season can guide them.

DL, woof. lots of potential and little confidence in the coach to extract it.

OL, again Jesus take the wheel.

Yeah, our all-time leading TD receiving tight end who dropped his first pass OF THE SEASON today isn't any good. Good God. Just stop.

Both Henry and Sprinkle dropped their first passes of the season against Mizzou the last two years. Very odd stat.

The guy averaged about 30 yards a game sorry I'm not dreading him graduating.

Cantrell is an absolute beast I can't wait to see what he can do as the every day starter.

With all due respect, any analysis is useless. Bret Bielema will still be our coach. We'll blow big leads, we'll make questionable decisions, we'll waste talented players due to inexcusable flaws in other parts of the team, we'll have inexplicable losses...

Too many unknowns.
Not enough known good players returning.

QB - think we'll be okay, hopefully Allen learned something today.
RB - we'll be okay barring injuries.
WR - Not as good. But maybe adequate.
OL - Won't be any better. May be worse.
TE - No worse than this year, maybe okay.

DE - No better than this year.
DL - Same coach? No better.
LB - Possibly better, De'Jon, Greenlaw, Lafrance may surprise.
DB - Not expecting better.
Saftey - Maybe a little better if Montaric can step in.

So, overall, I don't think we'll be as talented, and I would be surprised if as good. If you wanted to call this bunch good.

A lot will depend on improved coaching. I can't say more than 6 wins right now with a straight face, especially in view of our road schedule.
