Wilmsmeyer has got to sit.

He has more non-swinging strikes than any player I've ever seen.

He consistently gets to 0-2 counts without taking the bat off his shoulder.

He's looked lost the whole season.

This year’s John Bolton.

Decent glove and good speed but an automatic out with zero pop and not nearly good enough defensively to compensate for just how terrible he is at the plate.

JSL has back issues.
After seeing him swing, this doesn't surprise me at all. It hurts just watching.

Diggs has to sit too.

I’m betting his situation is similar to Stovall’s last year where his shoulder is hurting and it’s showing at the plate. He seems like he’s just throwing the bat out there.

And yet DVH continues to let him play

DVH was obviously reading Arkansas Sports Board after something was said because he yanked him after that.

Which is crazy because he’s had someone PH for Wilmsmeyer numerous times this season. He obviously doesn’t trust him at the plate.

I’d rather give those AB’s to Edmunson or Lovich and roll with Holt in CF.

His play in CF doesn't warrant AB's imo.

A raggedy ride is better than a smooth walk, I guess..

That game was painful to watch. As good as our pitching is it’s overshadowed by how bad our hitting is…….crap…

Saw this on Reddit, but we’ve scored in just one of our last 19 SEC innings, averaging just under 1 run per 9 innings.

Our scores in that one inning came on this sequence: Walk, Walk, Bunt Single, Wild pitch to score a run, Sac fly to score the 2nd.

unless something major changes soon, very soon... I think we better be ready for a flameout in a regional/super... at the least... and maybe before.

Our pitching is incredible, our fielding... ehh, k... Our hitting is nonexistent.

Hope the bats wake up.

This has to be a coaching issue.

Too much talent to struggle so much at the plate.

I'm ok with scuffing for some road wins right now. Our pitching is carrying us and we haven't come close to peaking yet. Maybe this is as good as it gets with this group, but all it takes is a few of them to get hot at the right time to make a deep run.

Losing Diggs' bat is a huge blow. Hopefully he can get healthy and get to swinging a good bat again.

Do you watch the games? We lead the conference and are 10th nationally in fielding %

Everyone of our dudes just swing for the fence every at bat. Texas Tech guys were all hitting to get on base. We were very lucky to win both those games.

I just love it when such questions are asked...No man, I never watch a game. Don't have season tix (for 4 years now), not a Cards fan... Never played in HS/JC...

I am an idiot, thanks for noticing. I was unaware of the stats, because the eye test doesn't seem so great imho. Not overall. It has improved in the last few weeks however so.. you are probably right. Stovall is good, the pineapple kids do well too. But i remember some really funny plays. fwiw
