Crazy about Gunter. Was talkin to some Madison Central guys today about him being mentioned in rotatation. They were a bit surprised. They did mention he had the smarts and good hands. I'm assuming he came in, learned playbook, and worked his arse off. Has Bs attention it seems, and I don't recall many whiffs at TE in Bs Career. They did say he hadn't put on much weight. He's listed on recruiting sites at 230.

Saw practice footage on the news, and I saw an impressive looking athlete wearing #32. Checked out the roster...Hayden Johnson. Can't believe he's a freshman.

That's gonna be a Nasty, nasty line in a couple seasons.

Every time I see Capps, I think back that "freaks come out" max out video this summer of him throwing up 600 lbs on squat like he's putting on a backpack.

For instance, there could be situations where the Hogs go with a front four of Deatrich Wise, Jeremiah Ledbetter, McTelvin “Sosa” Agim and Randy Ramsey.

Moar Kool-Aid
FAYETTEVILLE — The question was simple to Robb Smith on his lone media opportunity this week. Do you like your defense?
“I like this group a lot,” said Smith, Arkansas' third-year defensive coordinator. “We've had an awesome camp.”
Smith was smiling from ear to ear. There was no trying to cover up his excitement as the Hogs began getting into the intimate details of the game plan against Louisiana Tech, the season opener just over one week away.
“I'm extremely pleased with where we are and what we've added as far as our freshmen with what I thought was a good defense in the spring,” Smith said. “I'm extremely pleased.”

It did seem that way. Some of the comments I've seen from the coach definitely were sketchy.

Yeah, we're gonna need a clean up over here on aisle 5 after that article.

It's not like Wise killed it last year. The guys ahead of him deserve it more. Hopefully at the end of this season it's different.
Drew Morgan is definitely getting overlooked though.

Defense wins championships. I think it's that kind of a unit. I'm not ready to give a number for my win total, but it's going up. When the coaches are excited about defense, there is nowhere to go but up.

It depends how you slice the stats up. If you look at SEC games only then he did kill it. When you throw in the OOC games then he looks like a 3rd team guy. The question will be which Wise shows up this year. If he's healthy then he can definitely make a play for 1st team.

Wise came on strong late in the season.
Robb Smith seems to think he'll start fast, if not then there's Ramsey and Sosa.

Saw that. If he's talking about football then he should be thinking about his playbook.
