I'm extraordinarily disappointed in both of them, but I do have to remind myself that they're both RS freshmen and have only been in the program a full year (or was Gragg an early enrollee?).
Given everything I'd heard about him in HS, I was more excited about O'Grady, but it sounds as if he can't get his head out of his arse long enough to get out of Bert or Lunney's doghouse.

Meh, I don't have that much of a rub with adding weight (at the direction of a coach) at a position like TE, especially in this offense and factoring in the riggers of physical play in the SEC. Cantrell seems like he has a great frame for carrying extra weight, and he doesn't look overly beefy or slow, and he's been the lone bright spot among the redshirt freshmen TEs.

The young TE's haven't had 1 actual game yet to show us anything. Bert wants elite TE's, and he's challenging them all to become elite. They aren't there yet, but don't let a few quotes from the coaches who are trying to motivate these guys make you assume the worst. Let's see how they perform when the lights come on and then judge.

I think this is more to the truth, than some of the negatives that have been commented on the group, hence Bert being more critical of them.

Saban is constantly in the media talking about this defense, more specifically defensive backs aren't there yet, haven't proven anything, etc. every year.
Every year they are one of the better units on his teams and in the conference.

I am not surprised by the way Capps has emerged. He has looked like a man since the ninth grade. He came to camp with a full beard. He was offered by Bielema before he had his driver's license. He can probably lift that huge truck he drives with all of the camo in cool places.

Not because I'm pessimistic about this team or our prospects for a good season, but because we heard this same stuff last August about our defensive line and they couldn't manufacture a pass rush to save their lives for the first half of the season.
