It said illegal turn/U turn, I got pulled over once coming off Dickson because I made a right hand turn into the second lane. I see people do that every single day, but the cop said it was an illegal turn. Now I'm sure to turn into the first lane every time.

Maybe he'll fall in the draft a bit more and return now.

From a conversation today...

Spoon
Oliver
Beeks
Gunn
Fisher
Anderson
Serrano

Will be going if drafted. Beeks made sure to throw at least 5 innings Sunday to show scouts he is fine.

There's still a chance with him, but those guys have let coaches know they'll likely not be back if drafted.

Oliver's advisor doesn't think the DWI will hurt his stock any.

That makes you think there are some clubhouse issues then.

Serrano and Spoon dropped their stock significantly this season, and rarely do players ever leave when they are drafted that low with a real chance to greatly boost their draft stock with another season.

Especially Spoon, sophomore slump dropped his round projection almost 10 rounds after a freshman all american season. A solid junior season would see him jolt back into the Top 5 rounds, he has so much to gain from coming back.

If Serrano leaves then that is a dead giveaway about issues as well, he's not going to go in the Top 10 rounds most likely either, potentially late teens, and you don't leave as a Soph for that unless you need money which he doesn't. You leave because you are unhappy with your current situation.

I hate to speculate, but if I had to take a shot at what it is, I'd go with a rift between the players and Van Horn, something we've seen before resulting in solid players transferring out of the program because of DVH.

This program needs to stop accepting DVH and giving him all these passes, it's time for his seat to start getting warm, I personally think we should fire him if we finish bottom tier of the SEC again and get bounced in another regional next year. We put way too much money into this program for the results we're getting these last few seasons. Preseason #1 to dud, rebuilding year this year fine but if you're rebuilding you can't have a rift in your team resulting in losing damn near everyone to the draft because they want out, that's not rebuilding that's falling apart.

DVH is a known dickhole. His results are not enough to accept his bungling the roster, game mismanagement, and the nagging mental mistakes his teams seem to wear like the A on their hats.

Building a balanced team is tricky with only having 11.7 scholarships to spread between a roster of 25 but that's what he's paid to do.

He's been given everything he's asked for, it's time to reach the potential these teams have shown they had. Now 40 wins from the team this year is something we can be happy about we were missing a lockdown Ace and a clutch hitter and a base clearing hitter that could be counted on in the clutch.

I think it's why we gave Killian zero run support against Friday night aces, and had so many 1 run games.

From DVH's presser today

@NWARobbie: Van Horn is hoping Arkansas will get Jacob Stone back as well. He thinks Stone would like to play another year at Arkansas.

Robbie Neiswanger @NWARobbie · 44m
Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn said he thinks Tyler Spoon will return for his redshirt junior season. "He didn't have the year he wanted."

Robbie Neiswanger @NWARobbie · 39m
Van Horn doesn't think Serrano will be drafted and could return next season. So Hogs could have a core of Serrano, Spoon, Benintendi, Eagan

He also said mcafee told him he will be back

From what I've seen and heard, this one of the best drafts from an Arkansas perspective in quite awhile.

We may be scary good next year.

You think they'll have that big of an impact as Freshmen? I mean granted they don't have much to replace, but I don't know much about this class. Is it an immediate improvement?

Keaton McKinney has a 94mph fastball and was the #77 overall prospect for the draft, at WORST he is our #2 the day he steps on campus if not our Ace. He is legit as frick. Getting a Top 80 overall prospect to campus is really really rare, good thing he said he would take no less than 7 figures to sign so no one drafted him even through today.

Bonfield was the #177 prospect and will start in the OF from day 1, absolute stud with the bat, rated as one of the best pure hitters out of HS in the MBL Draft, another immediate impact.
