That's nuts. How many one run games did we win however?

7 overall by my count
4 in SEC play
Luck was mostly against us it seems.
Total of 19 one run games this season, with us losing 12
12 one run games in league play with us losing 8 of them.

It does seem that luck was against us. Next years team could definitely be pretty legit.

With the combination of modern technology and the secrets of ordinary street junkies, we could
into a super regional!
P.S. I just needed a platform for this gif; it cheers me up.

Not sure.
We for sure lose Wise, Anderson and probably Spoon, Serrano, and Fisher.
Pitching we could lose Oliver, Gunn, And Beeks

I don't think we lose Spoon or Beeks, at all.
But you never know. Spoon hit the great wall of China this year (.229 1HR 11RBI in SEC), and I think that'll drop him enough in the draft to return and get another year of experience and Beeks isn't a high draft guy regardless.
Wise isn't a big loss offensively obviously, and Gosser looks the part granted only a small sample size.
I could see Serrano possibly returning too but again you just never know 50/50 with him, Anderson no chance at all.
IF and big IF we had this next year:
DH Eagan
LF Serrano
CF Benintendi
RF Spoon
1B Baxendale
3B Wernes
SS Bernal
C Gosser
Beeks
Oliver
Taccolini
Gunn/Stone/Poche/Simpson
That's a legit fricking team right there, not including at least one or two solid freshmen coming in that contribute every year. World Series caliber team if we could get a miracle and have Keaton McKinney not sign.
Bonfield is a must get if Spoon/Serrano both leave. MLB needs to frick off.

Yea Spoon isn't going to leave. I know a scout who had him high on his list this upcoming year but he really disappointed.

If we are a 2 seed, I'd be shocked if we didn't head over to Stillwater.
Louisville is a winnable regional though

Should lock us in as a #2 now?

So if we beat LSU tomorrow, and they win their losers bracket game, then we will turn around and play them again on Friday?
Am I reading that correctly?

yes exactly like last year
we beat them with Stanek, they played game Friday and won then eliminated us on Saturday as the format goes back to single elimination

Whatever happens from here in this tourney is gravy. Just hope the arms get rest before regionals.

Nebraska getting the #2 seed for Stillwater would be the only reason

I'm hoping for the Louisville regional.
