NC State actually looked okay for a brief moment this year.

I don't want to ever see Gottfried back on campus.

Think Ingram will slide to 2 next year, with Sexton being the PG. Think Key could play 4 at all, with Petty being a 3?

Maybe in certain situations, but probably not normally.

What would y'all think if Avery added Mark Gottfried to the staff? I think it'd be hilarious, but could it be a good move?

HELL NO, HELL NO and HELL NO!!! The guy's a full blown egotistical prick!

to coachcrisp. he was a joke during his last few years. I would vote for AJ's firing if he brought him back. While you are at it why don't we bring back Mike Dubose, Mike Shula, and Fran back as coaches working under NS

Ingram doesn't have the shot for a 2 (yet). I'd love to see him on a smaller, fast breaking unit (strictly as a change of pace) as a 3. Key's got to get a better handle if he's going to really help us.

Gottfired is a freaking cancer even to his own career. No thanks. Twice in Tuscaloosa is enough.

King will also be back

How in the frick did I forget about him? I actually consider him the X-factor for next year. Could be one of our best players if he lives up to his previous hype.

Updated:

G - Sexton
G - Petty
SF - Key
PF - Giddens
C - Hall

6 - Ingram
7 - Norris
8 - King
9 - Reese
10 - Davis
11 - AJjr
12 - Smith
13 - Jones

This is more of a guess at the regular rotation and probably not something we start the year with.

As some of you have mentioned, I could see Ingram starting, but I feel like he's better suited coming off the bench since him and Sexton both work best with the ball in their hands. Of course they'll see the court at the same time a good bit, but this lineup gives us a more flexibile rotation IMO. Plus Ingram hasn't been as great as I had hoped, and this lineup would give Sexton another shooter (theoretically) to kick it out to.

Texas A&M Forward DJ Hogg out for the season. That could help us when we travel to play them

I think Ingram could be a good slashing two guard, and he definitely has the size to defend that position. If he continues to improve his outside shot and quits shying away from contact as others have said, he might actually be better off the ball usually cutting to the basket.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't King barely contributing before he got sick?

First few games his shots were off and he wasn't doing much. Seemed like he was trying to get adjusted to things. Then the last couple games before he got sick his shots started falling a little more and he was playing better. Then he got sick.

not sure all freshman will start from day one. I think it sends the wrong message to your upper classmen. They will be worked in soon and often. Then when it is obvious they have got the D1 thing under control they will become starters. ONce they have earned it then the upperclassmen cant really argue.

I think Sexton will start, but don't think the others will until maybe halfway through the season

Our women beat Tennessee tonight for a two game winning streak over them. Our all time record is now 4-49 against them

We must have spent the last month practicing for them.

You do know that the 2 guard is called the off,or shooting guard...right?

Yeah. You ever heard of Dwayne Wade? Guy might be the worst one of the worst 3 point shooters ever, but he's a damn good shooting guard because he attacks.

Demar DeRozan, Victor Oladipo, and Andre Iguadola (he's more of a three though) are all slashers who play shooting guard

I'd rather have a two that spreads the floor, but if we have to play Ingram there, I think he could fill the role well.
