I believe the following will happen regarding the portal and our guys entering:
(1) Ty Simpson and the qb from Louisiana
(2) 1 rb (hope to God it’s not Haynes)
(3) 2-3 wrs
(4) 2 ol
(5) 1 mlb and 1 olb
(6) 1 cb and 1 safety

I don’t see many on defense transferring unless they see writing on the wall or have offers. A lot of those positions are about to be open. I can see a QB or two leaving. I doubt Miller or Haynes leave. I could understand a couple WRs leaving since they probably won’t have huge numbers if Milroe does not improve.

Did we get a new center in the portal?

One of these may well be Prentice. He was audibly and visibly pissed off leaving the field last night.

I hate that too because he’s a good player and underused.

We need to hit the portal hard for a top level center prospect.
You’d think there’s got to be interest after watching that debacle last night.
Unfortunately we likely lose Simpson and some others.

I would venture to say that there has to be at least 1 offensive lineman that either currently plays Center or has played Center in the past that would be a better choice than Seth. I don't know Seth, may be a great guy and I'm not going to insult him personally. But he had an entire season to fix his mistakes, and he couldn't do it. He obviously can't take himself out of the game, but it's on Saban for not making a change. The low snaps contributed in a big way to last night's loss and also several other games being way closer than they should have been.

I'm afraid if a change had been made, we would immediately see why Saban has been keeping Seth in. If there was someone that's less of a liability, we would have seen him way earlier in the season.

I hate it for the kid. I’m sure he wishes things went differently and wanted to succeed. Heard talk that he was responsible for communicating the coverages because Milroe couldn’t (could just be more Milroe hate) but if true it kind of explains why he was never pulled. Back ups probably couldn’t identify and communicate effectively.

It is normal for centers to make these calls. He isn't doing anything out of the ordinary

Well I hope you’re all ready for another Dalcourt type playing center, because I doubt we have anyone at that position ready to play. Maybe we get one in the portal, but if the Brokermeyer kid was ready to play, he’d probably be playing. He (McLaughlin) struggled with snapping the ball at times, but he was a good blocker in the run game and a great kid from everything I’ve heard. Some of you should be ashamed of how you ripped that kid. I for one wish him well and thank him for his hard work here at Bama.

McLaughlin was a beast for us in 2021 with Bryce at QB.

Yes, his snaps this year were shite.

However, I'm not going to vilify him over yesterday's game. We were up 7 with less than 4 minutes to play.

We lost as a team.

In this era it’s so hard to predict.

Anyone could jump in tbh. Guys like Kobe Prentice or Jalen Hale could jump in…will they? I hope not.

I mean, I guess that’s technically true. There’s no rule about how many times can be described as “at times.”
