re: Sark to the Falcons???

I think it's totally legit. In the last game we're nursing a lead and need to burn clock. Our QB can't throw and our stud RB goes down. So what does Sark do? Does he reconfigure around our 3 remaining backs? No, he throws almost every down, fails to run clock and get first downs, and when he gets a rare first down he goes hurry up. We needed to keep our defense off the field and Sark did everything totally wrong to accomplish that. Saban saw that shitshow too but there wasn't much he could do about it in game. I think he got fed up with the USC philosophy.

I think I'm beginning to see what Saban wants in an offense but he's not going to find it. He wants to marry elements of his pro style (smash mouth running game) with the wide open passing elements of the spread and with the zone read RPOs of Gus's system when Nick Marshall was running it. And little to no hurry up element at all. But nobody can do that. You can't have your cake and eat it too. It would be great if you could but that ain't happening. That's why Chip Kelly won't be the guy. He won't be told what to do.

Locksley will be the guy because he will try to do as he's told. I don't think it will work but he's going to try.

And we need a QB coach in the worst kind of way.
