We cannot win a championship with a 2005 big ten style offense in 2023. It was idiotic for Saban to even think that would be successful. This offense isn’t fun for the players and it shows no n the field. These guys wanna run and gun.

I wouldn’t mind. Milroe has a cannon. This offensive scheme is holding everyone back not just Jalen.

He's not going during this season so the best thing to do is pray he gets better as the games move forward.

Rees isn’t Sark but give the offense time to gel and Rees should/will open the offense up.

Tizzy I appreciate you being optimistic but you must’ve never watched Rees at Notre Dame. There is no opening up his offense. It’s bland. No motion no attacking the perimeter. Just runs up the gut and watching big slow tight ends.

I watched a few games. His WRs were not very good, and neither was his QB.

Also, this is supposed to be the Saban offense, not Tommy’s.

We ran a QB sneak in the second half instead of some shotgun BS on 3rd and 1, so he can stay a little longer

Kind of hard to judge in a ho hum game like this. Never had to open up the offense or do anything special. Just a dominant win where we didn't have to do too much.

Bama scores 40 and is as about as vanilla as they come - showing nothing.

OL looks a little better. Milroe looked like a QB.

Be happy. shite.

I think they looked A LOT better. Pass pro was great and run blocking was mostly good.

A HS QB, but that's still a step up from some other games where he looked like a punt returner.

I remember Jalen Hurts offense going into Starkville and needing Devonta Smith to score a TD late to escape so while I don’t think Rees is Lane/Sark level as an OC we just scored 40 and everyone should chill out.

Rees was forced to draw up an offense with a fake QB. There is no basis in placing the blame on him at this point

Wut?

Milroe has a particular set of skills...it's not difficult to draw up some plays to take advantage of those skills.

I mean... what play would you run that's certain to get 10 yards with Milroe? I can think of a few with BY, Tua, Mac, McCarron, etc. but none with Milroe. Everything is a hit-or-miss and it's really difficult on a play-caller to predict what will work vs. not work

RPO slants would be deadly with Milroe.
