If Alabama gives a crap about being competitive or being relevant again in basketball, they MUST do everything in their power to make Rick Pitino say no!
1. Rick Pitino
2. Billy Donavan
3. Kelvin Sampson
4. Go back to 1 and offer more!!!

Official Alabama Basketball Season Thread (End of the Avery Era)

Official Basketball Coaching Search Thread

Rick Pitino

None of those 3 active Pitino discussion threads seem like the place for your post? Now it's split 4 ways

ETA: Now this one got stickied and the coaching search thread got deleted.

Tell your friend that he didn't get in trouble at Boston.

Bama in Basketball is about on the same level as Duke is in football. We aren't getting Rick Pitino, Billy Donovan or Tom Izzo.

Pitino isn’t the same as the other two because his value is greatly lowered by his controversial history. Most schools wouldn’t touch him.

Alabama probably won't either. Hiring him you're pretty much inviting the NCAA to set up camp a satellite camp at our university.

If Alabama does I'll be very disappointed.

If I wanted to be the fan of that kind of school I could have just gone with Auburn.

How would it look for Kentucky football to offer their head job to Urban Meyer? Some of you guys are setting yourself up for major disappointment.

How would it look if they made it to an SEC Championship? It would look pretty fricking good I bet.

I’d love to see Pitino in crimson. Coleman would be packed every game. For frick’s sake, I want to see Bama in the final four before I die.

A title would also look good to South Carolina or Ole Miss in football but if they are waiting on their own Dabo or Urban they too are setting themselves up for disappointment.

Guess we will just keep on bitching about needing a quality coach and getting our shite pushed in inside that old airplane hanger called Coleman
