when I was watching HardKnocks recently, there was a moment they showed where Saban grabbed Tua and told him "17 was wide open" and Tua started using Waddle more... wonder if anyone was telling Milroe about the wide open WRs (We all seemed to see from our sofas) or just didnt want to mess with his head? anyway, If this OC can work on JM, cool... if not well, there it is

Can Williams block? Has he ever been asked to block? I know he is not a TE, but always helps if a WR can block also.

Did DeBoer not offer the lineman from Washington that are going to Ole Miss? Seems he would have interest.

One of them, Buelow, was pretty negative about DeBoer leaving Washington when he took the Bama job. Plus, Ole Miss is really slinging the NIL money around, they're all in for this next year.

Probably Lane's best shot at overcoming Alabama and they aren't on our schedule.

SIAP but this video is a great breakdown of the Grubb and DeBoer offense. It’s really impressive to watch this scheme. He will easily be able to get offensive stars with this system. The key will be his ability to recruit the defensive side of the ball.

From what I remember I saw a lot of WRs in space but were never thrown to or looked at. SO not sure that was a Rees thing or not.

No I mean swing passes, orbit motion, etc that are a foreign concept to Rees

I keep telling Georgia people they are NOT all that and how much danger they are in with their schedule and they refuse to see it.

We will beat them in TTown on September 28. When we do they have zero room for error and they will still face trips TO Austin and yes TO Oxford. Ole Miss will be loaded and waiting.

I’m just a fan without any video recording or ability to watch games from a wide perspective unless I’m there and could see the issues even after two bourbons at the tailgate.

Bama had armies of analysts and assistant coaches with 20-40 years each of football knowledge pouring over wide angle game film. They knew what the issues were and they knew what the play-calls/intended routes were which we can often only guess at.

There is zero chance Milroe wasn’t being told what the issues were. The fact that we basically took away protection calls from him and eliminated screens and slants from the playbook tells me everything I need to know about what the coaches thought about his ability to process the defense.

Players improve year over year and QB is the hardest position in all of sports, but while some of this was on BOB failing to develop a guy he didn’t think was even a QB, let’s not pretend this wasn’t on JM to a large degree.

I actually think Ole Miss is well positioned to beat them this year, especially with the roster moves Lane has made

Absolutely and that’s why I’m so excited that Ty Simpson chose to stay.

That game at Ole Miss will be insane. Might be the biggest game in Ole Miss history.

If Lane prepares well, this could be the year Ole Miss makes it to Atlanta. The schedule sets up well for them. Their two toughest games are at home (UGA and OU) then they have to go to Baton Rouge.

He's still light years behind UGA in talent, but he brought in a lot of experience. I kind of hope it pays off for him.

They called a swing pass to Miller in the Rose Bowl. That throw was not in Milroe's arsenal last year.
