Frank Wilson, Bo Davis, AND Corey Raymond?
I don't know why we didn't reach out to Corey Raymond.
Recruiting rankings last 4 cycles where the coach was at a power 5 school
Frank Wilson #3, #27, #133, #4
Bo Davis #281, #459, #56, #593
Corey Raymond # 678, #43, #154 #73
I guess it depends on what you mean by being an insane recruiter. Seems like about rank 100 is where i would cut it off having a good year recruiting, everybody past there is pulling in average of a 3 star, ok but not great
Bo Davis is not an elite recruiter, hes a really good dline coach. Frank Wilson is an elite recruiter. Corey Raymond was an elite recruiter at one point, but he failed at Florida, which should be an easy place to pull blue chips

LSU has done great at recruiting with Raymond on the team. Also, if the below summary of his time at LSU = a shite coach. I'd love to see a good coach.
quote:
Raymond’s secondary produced seven first team All-Americans during his time at LSU, including Eric Reid (2012), Jalen Mills (2015), Jamal Adams (2016), Tre’Davious White (2016), Greedy Williams (2018), Grant Delpit (2018 and 2019) and Derek Stingley Jr. (2019, 2020).
Additionally, Delpit claimed the 2019 Jim Thorpe Award as the nation’s top defensive back.
Raymond coached 16 Tigers who were picked in the NFL Draft, including four first rounders – Derek Stingley Jr. (2022), Adams and White (2017), and Eric Reid (2013), along with five second round picks that include Delpit (2020), Kristen Fulton (2020), Donte Jackson (2019), Williams (2018) and Jalen Collins (2015).
Other LSU NFL Draft picks under Raymond’s watch include: cornerback Tyrann Mathieu (third round in 2013), cornerback Tharold Simon (fifth round in 2013), safety Jalen Collins (second round in 2015), cornerback Rashard Robinson (third round in 2016), safety Jalen Mills (seventh round in 2016), Donte Jackson (second round in 2018), Greedy Williams (second round in 2019), JaCoby Stevens (sixth round in 2021), Kary Vincent Jr. (seventh round in 2021) and Jay Ward (fourth round in 2023).

He doesn't develop talent.
He landed all the guys you mentioned, but look where they're all from. Either Louisiana or damn close to it.
He's smoke and mirrors.

Article on the offer made by Washington to retain Kalen.
This cat wanted the big stage at Alabama.
Washington offered coach Kalen DeBoer a "Big Ten package" that would have made him among college football's top-10 highest-paid coaches before he left for Alabama, Huskies athletic director Troy Dannen said this week. Speaking at a civic function in suburban Seattle, Dannen said the school's push to keep DeBoer featured financial figures "that were, quite frankly, unprecedented for this university," according to the Seattle Times.
"We put numbers in front of him that were, quite frankly, unprecedented for this university," Dannen said. "We put a Big Ten package in front of Kalen, not a Pac-12 package. …
"When it wasn't signed, Kalen said the right things publicly, and I said the right things publicly … but it gives you pause."

I had no clue that Nico Johnson is a Graduate Assistant for Texas. Sounds like he worked with Bo Davis on the DL.
Some former players were pushing for us to go get him and bring him home. Granted the same people (former players) were wanting us to grab Kevin Norwood, re-tain/elevate HaHa, and also get Nico.

If Linguist was my last name, my only desire in life would to have been a colonel on the armed services, so I could've been Col. Linguist for the rest of my life.
