Sort of over the top for the Alabama crowd isn't it?

How do ya'll feel about using the Alabama football facilities for this?

I literally couldn't care less.

It's not like we're using the field in May.

Not uncommon the zone to be used as a wedding reception area. It's one of the bigger venues in Tuscaloosa. Makes sense to do it there with Nick being the coach and all and the church being right next to campus. Not what I would choose but it makes sense.

I saw a lot of people from the wedding reception at a few of the downtown bars. Saturday night I was also wondering why the stadium was lit up at 2 a.m. Didn't even know about the wedding until I got on here.

Other than that I couldn't care less.

The car across the field with fireworks was tacky. The ceremony at the Zone wasn't that big of a deal. It's the summer, so this is a multi day discussion.

Why is it anyone business except the couple in question?

Why anyone else would care is goofy.

Are the facilities available to everyone for a special event such as this?

I think so,if you have the $$$$.

This is pretty common for stadiums across the US. I know my high school was able to rent out a section of USCe's stadium for Prom one year. I'm sure Death Valley has something like this set up as well.

It's not where I'd want my wedding reception, but what Kristen Saban does with her life doesn't really effect me.

I spent some time in Tuscaloosa- this just seems over the top and a bit much. I can't recall anything like this in Tiger Stadium or anywhere else.
Saban is acting like this is his kingdom and he will do what he wants. The University ( and all universities ) belong to the people.

The wedding was in a Catholic church. The reception was in an are of BDS designed for hosting large events. I don't see the problem with either of those.

Probably because half of Tiger Stadium is run down dorm rooms.

This just goes to show you that it really is true. Some LSU fans will never get over thinking that LSU was Saban's dream job and that he'll always regret leaving there.

No matter how successful he has been, no matter how many ties he continues to make in Tuscaloosa, no matter how many jobs he turns down to stay there; they'll never come to grips with the fact that he enjoys* being in Tuscaloosa and being Alabama's coach.

*as much as a man like him is capable of enjoying anything

Since most fans (the people - for you Marxist) really don't care about the Women's Studies Department nor any other department for that matter other than the Athletic Department and Nick Saban is the coach of a branch of that department that pretty much makes it his kingdom.

Maybe in Karl Marx world they do. Not everyone is accepted to attend nor is everyone welcome on campus. The University does not belong to the people.

Can't ya'll find anything better to bitch about? The best coach in college football wanted to use his home field for his little girl's wedding. WTF is the big deal?

Only Auburn and LSU fans have an issue with this.
