We beat the #3 team in the country, before we knocked out their QB, by 17. We won't see a better defense until the playoffs.

Our offense isn't flashy but they will pound a team as long as we stick to the run.

Yes, we need to improve certain aspects of the defense. Getting Evans and Jennings will help.

We won't be truly tested, sans Florida State, until November and we'll get better.

I think this team will pick up steam and be damn near unstoppable come December.

Is there something specifically that's lead you to believe this?

And the offense will be tested again next Saturday in Nashville.

Our schedule for one. There's no one who presents much of a challenge.

I think a lot of our issues are due to playing a lot of inexperienced guys to get reps in case we need them. I also think we have played a ton of vanilla football on offense and defense.

LSU is terrible.
Vandy is Vandy.
Tennessee just lost to a horrendous Florida offense.
Auburn barely beat Mercer.
Mississippi State whipped LSU today, but LSU is trash offensively.
Ole Miss can't even beat Cal.
Texas A&M is laughably bad.

We'll go undefeated in the regular season.

We're going 13-0 until the playoffs.

Hopefully we fix our shortcomings over the next 10 games.

Looking around the country, I think we already played the second best team in the country, and we won. We got a lot of help from FSU shooting themselves in the foot, but we won.

The difference is we are now without our best pass rushing OLBs.
To me, the only teams that could present a real threat to us are OSU, OU, and CU.
The playoffs will be tough. Our defense has to be more dominant to make up for when our offense can't do anything (FSU).

But hey, we've got as good a shot to win it all as anyone. We've gotta be the favorites at this point.
My fear is that by playoff season Kelly Bryant looks like a scary-arse motherfricker with a Heisman trophy

I am not worried about this team, but I don't think they would be a clear favorite in a 4 team playoff right now. I think Clemson and Oklahoma could both beat Alabama. Luckily, the season is longer than 3 games.

I'm not worried either. We've had many poor offensive or defensive performances in our championship seasons. No one has a shorter memory than Bama fans. Look how unstoppable we seemed in 2010 until USCe jumped us because we thought we were unbeatable.

Making some mistakes is good because it allows you to learn and improve. Beating everyone by 50 breeds complacency.

Nor should you be. I'm proud that we went out and easily beat a pretty decent CSU team. Its the second non power five game in a row, so there was a little lull, but the game was never in question.

Bama fans expect perfection, I get it, but that that doesnt change reality, which is we have a lot of young players with little experience out there. Mistakes will be made.

But damn it, I'm not going to "worry" about a 3-0 start, with none of the games being close really. And I'm not going to worry that we will lose future games. I have faith in our guys to go out there and bust their asses every game, and that's what I've seen so far, even if some guys have taken some lumps.

I think Clemson would beat us, but I'm not sure about Oklahoma and its new coach. I know they beat OSU but a rookie head coach often makes rookie mistakes, and I like our chances with Saban vs Riley.

edit: Because I already said I think the defense will improve, and Hurts played well yesterday, which was encouraging. The offensive line also played better.

Ole Miss's defense is really soft. Hurts will run all over them this year like he did last year. What's weird is Vandy and MSU possibly being our toughest opponents. With the exception of a few years like last year, MSU usually plays us tough so I'm a little worried about them.

Honestly I feel like this team is like the 2010 team but the good thing is the rest of the SEC is a joke now compared to what it was in 2010.

we scored under 25 against a good D in FSU. Against teams with a strong D and a strong O it could get ugly if we cant score TD's on most drives. Kicking FG's in the playoffs against Clemson or OK wont get it done I am afraid. Call me Debbie downer but look how many points Clemson scored last year on our D which is much better then this years D

I went to the Colorado State game a few years ago and I think we won a title that year. It was a putrid show on offense. Still can't erase that memory.

I will not be surprised if Clemson & maybe Oklahoma jumps Alabama in the polls this week.

I'm so used to Alabama having a dominant defense that right now it looks bad. Like they can't rush the quarterback & he sits back there and has all day to throw the football.

No one is talking about Alabama being without their starting linebackers though.
