I have hardly been a supporter of Coker; yes I said he should be the starter but basically because we had no other options. I was a supporter of Sims and I truly felt if he and another year we'd roll every team by 10+.

Now that is out of the way, I will defend Coker on that last INT. Yes, Kiffin made gamble (which I don't like), but the play was open. Ardarius Stewart FINALLY beat them deep, Ole Miss safety was sitting and the corner bit on his move. The only thing missing was the throw; if it was thrown any kind of decent it was 6 points.

That is where Ryan Kelly our fricking THREE year starting center let us all down. Ole Miss runs a stunt (similar to what we ran earlier to get a sack) with the end delay and coming in over the middle. Instead of Kelly to use his feet and his punch (hands), he just allows this kid to whip him right to Coker.

Coker's throw was short ONLY because Kelly couldn't block the DL for ONE SECOND. When Coker got hit during his throw, he couldn't follow through so the throw obviously went short; this lead to the INT. If Coker was given that extra second from Kelly, he would have followed through and the scored would have been 43-43 pending the extra point kick.

In my opinion Kelly was our WORST player. He wasn't even blocking. He was using his elbows, didn't get his hands on the DL and just let them rub off him all damn day straight to our RB and QB.

Dude had a disgrace of a game. I guarantee if he showed some damn heart and blocked KIND OF DECENT we win that game.

I noticed it. I know it is his job to get to the second level, but damn. You have to redirect the NT first though.

This might be way off, I haven't watched the game again. But, I don't think it was a very bang bang play. Coker decided to launch the shite downfield either while getting hit or with the dude directly in front of him. IMO it was a senseless call and pass.

I noticed this too but I'm tired of trying to point out to people too upset to accept that Coker did well.

Happy that when I walked in this morning pretty much every coworker was complinentary of Coker despite the loss. People that hate Bama, wondering why we started Bateman and shocked to hear I'm having to defend him against our own fans

Not I. I haven't seen a beating like that since someone put a banana down my pants and set a monkey loose.

Offensive line in general was suspect. That was probably the best defensive line they'll see all year, but you're right. They got whipped.

Who ever decided to chop block #5 (ain't got time to spell that name) should be shot. His best plays were when we ran away from him and tried to just chip him. Second level blocking does no good when the rb is dropped in the backfield.

Dominick Jackson also has no business playing another snap. If I remember correctly from the game, he was consistently abused on saturday.

um, what performance? its as if he wasnt even there .

i told my brother when i seen our o-linemen at wisconsin game, we bulked them up to big, they cant move. they've slowed down so much that it doesnt even take nkemdiche talent to get by them. and nkemdechi talent isnt even slowed down by them.

Dom Jackson has been horrible for us, I never really liked him coming out of Juco honestly. Also, Ryan Kelly isn't physical enough and did not play like a three year starter

They got whipped, but they also missed assignments everywhere. I remember one play specifically where RN made a play behind the Los and Herbstreit started to say how RN beat his guy badly but then he kind of balked on his analysis when the replay showed that we just straight up did not block him. Wtf?

OL got whipped, not sure if coaching can change that. Though I think our OL recruiting has improved for a while it was just plain bad. These guys are a reflection of that badness because there is a 3 year lag between recruit and result. Ole Miss might be the best they see though. Kelly isn't an NFL type lineman but he's the best we have at center. No point it running him down.

Coker should have eaten that pass. He had another down to get the first. If we are going to make freshman mistakes can we have the freshman make them please? at least I can hope for a future then.

Kelly got beat all night. He should really be rethinking his focus because it wasn't on his job Saturday night.

Dom actually did ok. Alot of the the issues came from guys lined up against Kelly and Taylor.

Notice their DB was looking back for the ball and knew it was under thrown. Would our DB have been looking back to notice that?

Our DBs virtually never look back, as you probably know. I actually was pretty impressed with how they did when contrasted with past seasons.

Like I said, I wasn't a fan of the call, but let's be real here man how the hell was he suppose to complete any pass even over 15 yards on that play?

Kelly is the main culprit, you just have to admit that. Watch the GIFs of the play that poster posted in this thread. I mean WTF was Kelly even doing there? Huh? That guy blew right past our THREE YEAR STARTER because he didn't move his feet and he has a weak punch. Even if he didn't move his feet with a great punch he would have at least knocked him off his way giving Coker that little space to finish his follow through.

If Kelly doesn't blow that play (not gonna talk about the many running plays he didn't bother to block anybody or attempted to block Robbie with his fricking ELBOWS!) we are tied 43-43 pending a extra point.

Yeah, Ole Miss would have 3 minutes left to score, but they didn't move the ball down the field at all. Only two plays they moved the ball was the fluke pass which bounced off three people and the illegal OL downfield.

I strongly doubt they would have gotten another LUCK play to help them pull off the win.

Their DBs was looking back for the ball because they were beat badly deep by Ardarius.

Had Kelly blocked his man, Ole Miss fans would be ripping those players for playing a loose coverage and for the safety not providing help.

If your remember Cyrus Jones played loose on Treadwell one play; just allowed him to run up the field giving him space. He was looking back then, because he was beat. Had our DL hit Chad Kelly during his follow through like Coker, it would have been a short ball which Cyrus would have intercepted and everybody here would have called him a hero.

That's just the reality of the situation. We had no luck. Then to make matters worse we had people who are suppose to be leaders (looking at you Kelly) play like total arse. I don't know what Kelly did right Saturday night.

Well at least he snapped it well?
