McCarron - Thanks Julio, Coop and OL

McCarron never had Julio and in 2011 he didn't have Cooper. McCarron's targets in 2011 were Marquis Maze, Darius Hanks, Kenny Bell, DeAndrew White, and Michael Williams.

Despite the lack of a true threat at WR in '11, he passed for over 2,600 yards, completed nearly 67% of his passes, and threw for 16 TDs with only 5 INTs.

How the hell am I an idiot. Coach Sabah wants a QB who won't turn over the ball and can ,make the easy throw and occasional deep ball. He does neither of three IMO. Will just throw the ball up. Only time he can hit the open man is on a screen and he gets it out there slow as hell and I think he has probably only hut one deep pass this year.

If you think AJ is #3, you are beyond idiot status

Again, his completion percentage clearly shows that he completes most of these throws that you say he can't complete.

There's no real reason to rank Greg above Blake unless you're giving him credit for the BCSCG that he did jack shite in.

Other than the ice cold drive in the Iron Bowl and the SECCG?

Greg is definitely the second best to me, AJ just had more physical abilities.

I don't know, but our screens have been very effective this year.

1. AJ - stats and hardware
2. Blake - beautiful deep ball and ability to extend plays like no other QB on the list
3. Greg - great leader, not as athletic
4. JPW - tough son of a gun, actually held a lot of Bama records before AJ came along
5. Coker - tough son of a gun, just very little pocket awareness and a crazy slow delivery

Sure Greg gets credit for the SECCG, but Blake has an SECCG win under his belt as well.

Auburn had a terrible secondary and were selling out to stop the run. I'm glad he got his shite together that last drive, but he probably could have been doing it the entire game.

I'm glad Chatta kept this thread sane. Coker isn't great, but he's serviceable and isn't our weakest link on offense. Great physical abilities, but a terrible (presumably uncorrectable) release.

Though if we lose another game, I'd expect it to be because of our OL. If they don't have any push to open up holes for Henry, then we won't move the ball. Luckily, there's during talent on the OL, so I doubt dnt college team can shut them down 100%. All it takes is one defensive breakdown on the right run call, and Henry takes it to the house. But then it's on the D to give a historic performance.

It would be nice to have a dominant QB. But AJ was the closest we've seen. And I always have seen him as a damn good college QB, NFL backup type. And that was even while he's playing. So let's not act like Coker is some horrible anomaly in our QB situation.

Not at all. If I were to be honest, the QB he reminds me of most is Jay Barker of all people. But he is frustrating due to his terrible (and it is terrible) pocket awareness and awkward release and subsequent inaccuracy. The real reason this is frustrating is the for all the schtick Kiffin gets over not handing off a million times to DH every game, he gets receivers wide open and we just don't execute. The plays are there. Put a Carson Palmer type QB in there, and this offense is as unstoppable as USC was back then.

I am hopeful Kiffin sticks around to get Blake Barnett in there. I think we could see some real arse kicking.

Against a very weak and overrated Missouri football team.

McElroy played against the #1 Florida Gators, possessors of one of the best defenses in college football and winners of 20 straight games, and picked them apart.
