3rd RB and will act as the 2nd RB in between the tackles. Drake will play WR some

I'll just interject and say it is probably best if everyone disagreeing over how good Blake really was just agrees to disagree. Neither side is gonna fold, and I don't think the Pro-Sims side is homerism and I don't think the "Sims wasn't as good as the #s show" side has malicious intent. Best to just let this one rest and agree everyone loves them some Blake Sims no matter what they think of his skill level

Great suggestion. Besides, why get into an argument over opinions?

RTR...GameDay is closing fast!

I wonder if we will possibly see Drake and Stewart in the game at the same time? Stewart, from what little I saw of him, seemed very explosive like Drake.

For all the Tony Brown folks... he is backing up MF29 at star right now.

Looks like Cyrus and Marlon are definitely the CBs, Minkah seems to have Star locked down. Jackson and Geno at Safety, Mo Smith is the Money. I'm sure Ronnie Harrison will push for PT at FS in base and Dime if anyone struggles.

Looks like TB has learned/is learning Star, so next season I suppose either he or Minkah starts opposite Marlon while the other plays Star.

I feel it is moronic. People attempt to discredit Sims instead of getting him credit yet the same people want to pour over praise about Coker who can't even beat out Morris and a bunch of young guys.

Cooper isn't the first amazing receiver we've had. Julio was pretty damn awesome and I didn't see his QB's breaking records.

People should just give him the credit he deserves. Instead they feel they have to discredit him or take something away from him. Those same people would lose their mind if the same is done to AJ or even Coker who hasn't done a damn thing for this university.

This! To me the discrediting of Sims has racial undertones. I can't see any other reason anyone would discredit him.

I am one of those that is not a homer about Sims. I do think he played harder for Saban than any other QB Saban has had at UA. He was a great athlete who played QB for us and did everything he was asked to or did his best. But my opinion on whether he is a great QB or the greatest ever at UA, which I disagree with is my opinion and I have a right to it. No rules on this board say otherwise. I also have no issue with anyone that expresses their opinion even though I may not share it but I have an issue with someone that feels I do not have a right to post my opinion. Why some feel the need to go beyond sharing an opinion and calling someone out for theirs. Is beyond me.

And again I am not a Sims homer and definitely have never been on the Coker train. If you go back far enough I have always liked Morris. And I was never a fan of AJ due to his attiditude.

Not a mod, but like I said earlier, no reason to continue this discussion.

We talkin' bout practice.

Forreal. I'm tired of sifting through all this shite to actually read constructive practice info. Also tired of reading everyone's opinion about the fricking QBs. It's probably going to be Coker. May be Morris but doubt it. Let's move on to who we should start at Wisconsin at other positions. Like the OLBs

the OLBs

it's gonna be Lee and Devall with Anderson, Williams and Evans coming in on some passing downs. Not sure about Miller.

The DBs will be interesting too.

my best guess:
LCB: the guy most posters hated on the most last summer
RCB: Hump
Star: Phenom Fitzpatrick
Money: Mo Smith
FS: Eddie Jackson
SS: Geno Smith

Devall and Anderson it would seem, though it could be one of those at Jack and Lee at Sam.

Obvious passing situations will probably see guys like Evans and Williams (maybe some Miller too?) coming off the edges.

I'm loving the "Fitzmagic" nickname some people game him on Twitter. Not sure where it originated.

Yup, glad to see him finally break through.

His stats last year:

25 tackles (12th on the team)
8 TFL (4th on the team)
3 sacks (3rd on the team)
1 Fumble Return (Tied for 1st on the team)
9 QB hurries (2nd on the team)

He's very similar to Courtney Upshaw. Currently listed at 6'2" 258, i think he provides our best option at Jack.
