Slade came out with 10:07 left in the 2nd Qtr. WM up 49-10 at the half. He threw 2 TDs, was horse collared on a run. He’s fine. Just up by too much to risk him.

Seems like that happens every week.

We don't need Slade to get hurt seeing as he might be our RB for this class.
Kudos to his coach for keeping him out. Most coaches wouldn't do that.

Alabama currently has one in-state commitment for the Class of 2018, and he’s been selected to play in the 31st Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic.
St. Paul’s senior Jalyn Armour-Davis, a cornerback and standout kick returner who is committed to Alabama, is one of the six defensive backs invited the game, according to a news release from the AHSAA.

Alabama commit Jalyn Armour-Davis of St. Paul's received two new - and prestigious - honors Friday afternoon at St. Paul's.
The four-star cornerback, who committed to the Crimson Tide in June, was presented with his U.S. Army All-American Bowl Jersey in a special pep rally at the school. He also was one of six defensive backs named to the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Football Game.
The Saints play Vigor on Friday night, but Armour-Davis is a game-time decision after leaving last week's win over Citronelle with an injury.
"This is a double-whammy for Jalyn," St. Paul's coach Steve said. "Any time you have a player recognized as one of the best 90 guys or whatever in the country, that is impressive. It's great notoriety for our school and our program. We are awful proud of him and proud for his family."

Might want to keep an eye on whether or not FSU commit Marquez Ezzard visits us at some point. He's Brenton Cox' teammate. Could be very interesting, not in terms of the recruitment of Ezzard, but of Cox. They're committed to two different schools now, but there's some talk of a package deal there.

Good article on Barmore
LINK
"A 6-foot-6, 297-pound people mover that has quickly put himself in the discussion as the best at his position in the country, Barmore’s combination of size, quickness off the snap, motor and violent style of play has some of America’s best college coaches salivating over a guy they didn’t know existed at this time last year."

With Coynis Miller going to Auburn (for now) we really need to wrap up Barmore.

It took a move from OL to DL to take him from so-so dude to wanted by most every major team. Wonder if there are other guys “in the wrong” position.

Looks like 4-star DT Coynis Miller injured his knee last night. Might prevent him from making it to Tuscaloosa today.
