I personally think Mack Wilson is one of the more overrated players in this class. I hope I'm wrong.

Ben Davis reminds me a bit of Brandon Spikes out of high school

That visit to GaTech was like a slap in the face, especially as a former commit still supposedly considering Alabama.

At least they probably down-talked the crap outta UGA

I just don't see CJ in him. He was a versital ball hawk who played well close to the line. It's how I see Foster too. Mack's greatest intangible is a peculiar one - at 235 pounds he could drop back into coverage as a safety and would be better at it than Mark Barron. The NFL will greatly appreciate that at his size and tackling ability. If he can rush the passer as a 4-3 OLB he has late first rounder written all over him.

Kwon was undersized coming out of HS, but grew into a 6'1-6'2 230 pound LB that is among the NFL leaders in pass deflections.

So Mack is like a 20 year old Kwon, perhaps skipping the growth period - lol

Look back at my posts from way earlier today about Robertson. I'm either some kind of genius or an insider.

I am going to ask Chicken to change my name to Kcoyote3714 :P

I'm obviously the most knowledgeable insider. I didn't have a single wrong prediction in this thread.

And I already got numbers in my name, so you know it's double legit.

They are all "their own player." Fans cannot resist comparisons.

I agree with you Rise about Wilson. I work in the city he played in and literally no one is talking about him. I saw him play a couple of times and his performance was very meh. 5* players are supposed to be able to take over games and he just didn't do that when I saw him.

Having said that, I hope he makes me eat a double helping of crow. I hope SDH takes him under his wing and helps Wilson rise up to his potential.

some kids are not motivated to play at the HS level. They need the challenge of being a big fish in a big big pond.

Yeah a local HS coach told me last night "Wilson isn't really that great, but Saban will make him great."

J Pagan is a great example. They kept stats for negative plays as well. He led his team in a stat called loafing in every game. And yes these stats were posted for everyone to see. But once he got to UA he played to his potential

My favorite signee has to be Jonah Williams. The kid plays with a nasty mean streak. I fully expect for him to be in plenty of altercations after plays are over . I also don't expect him to redshirt, I think he will gradually start splitting time at Right Tackle with Baldwin. Kinda how Cyrus did his freshman year, until he injured his knee.

My favorite is Ben Davis. I was tasked with tackling his dad over 30 years ago... and if Ben is anything like his dad, BOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!

Davis just looks like an amazing open field tackler. Takes the smart play and wraps up extremely well. I hope he becomes our next leader at MLB.

I think Jonah William may start as a freshman at RG or center and Baldwin at RT. Saban said he could play any position on OL. Like Barrett jones on steroids with John Hannah athleticism.
