sylve and cooper are faster than brown and humphrey straight line with no hurdles

We know Coop beat Brown in a foot race this spring and TB and MH had similar track times last year, but the way MH performed in the junior world championships and kept breaking age-specific records makes me think he's a little faster than TB and could possibly be as fast or faster than Coop

Sylve is fastest on the team though

I think MH is quicker than TB and accelerates faster, but TB has a higher top end speed. I have no numbers to support this.

IIRC TB is nearly a year older than MH too even though they're in the same class

Biggest difference between them though is TB is far more physical at this stage. And he has a mean streak. I'm excited to see what these two can do when they end up on the field together.

Yes and why they very seldom competed against each other on the National and World scene. Unlike school where age for events are done by school year the international and most national events go by calendar year. When MH was competing at his world championship event this past year he was competing under 18 and TB was at the Pan-Am games in the U19.

So, in short. As far as we know now, Sylve and Cooper have the fastest 40's, with TB and MH close behind. You throw hurdles in there and it's a different story.

FWIW in case it hasn't been mentioned, our chances at Jovon Robinson have been put to rest.

Even better is a recruit in the 2015 class was faster this spring in hurdles even by a whole second faster than MH in the 300m and he is also looking at doing t&F as well in college and apparently knows TB.

The recruit is Kendall Sheffield. So hopefully we can reel him as well. If nothing else UA may end up with the top track program in the country by the time Saban is done to go with the football program.

IIRC The only time MH ever competed in 300h was for the US trials and worlds and that was without training for that distance. Same may be true for Sheffield though since that isn't a common high school event.

Actually MH just won the AHSAA 300m hurdle in May. At least according to the link I found. So I guess in HS they run the 300m not 400m.

LINK /

I think all the international/national events are 400m

If we're taking Sheffield, that means we're taking 7 DB's this class. Unless someone flips.

We may need it.

LC/Perry/Jarrick are gone after this year. LC COULD come back, but he's likely a first rounder. We need some youth at Safety.

I ran the 300 meter IMH (back then it was the 330 yards) back in highschool. Toughest single event on the track. Anyone who does it well has my respect. Meaning I did it but not well

The 2015 recruiting class is comprised of star performers from every part of the country, creating a compelling mix of future college football standouts. Just six months separate us from national signing day, and members of the group are set to embark on one final high school season.

It's an appropriate time to reassess a special collection of playmakers, from golden-armed quarterbacks to the disruptive defenders ready to spend their upcoming years chasing them down. Updated national rankings provide us with an opportunity to analyze the top competitors in this class.

We broke down their potential based on game tape and in-person evaluations at The Opening, an annual invite-only prospect showcase we attended at Nike's world headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, this summer.

Here's a look at the top 200 college football recruits of this 2015 cycle, with an eye on how each could impact the college game for years to come.

This article is part of Bleacher Report's CFB 200 Recruiting Rankings Series. The overall rankings are based on the 247Sports composite system, which takes into account every recruiting service's rankings. The positional rankings also correspond with those composite scores.
