Coker also took stupid sacks, but you had to forget about that because he was so strong he broke some

IMO Coker's biggest weakness was his pocket presence and his tendency to evade pass rushers by going straight back rather than moving around in the pocket. It really frustrated me at times but otherwise he did a great a job.

And let's be honest, just like with every QB a lot of our starter's success will ultimately come down to OL play. A good OL can make a decent QB look great and a bad OL can make a great QB look mediocre.

I hope we can adjust to a new center. That's a huge concern

Greg McElroy. Did not have a rocket by any means, but he worked out well for us.

If Chad Pennington can start in the NFL for a handful of seasons, then Bateman has more than enough arm to help us win a championship.

I know, right. That 5 for 5 garbage against auburn was horseshite. I wanted his scholly pulled after the 5th made FG. And that onside kick against Clemson? If anyone should've ever been beheaded it was Griffith just after that kick. Turrible.

What burns me up the most is that he made 83% of his FGs in SEC play. I think he's a terrorist.

You're definitely "on" something, but which chromosome it's on is the question.

I believe Bateman is our best option based on the totality of issues at hand, followed by Hurts, Barnett, Kenny Stabler's drunk skeleton, and then Cornwell.

I laughed out loud at this, and then read it to my wife. Good stuff.

For a second my mind jumped to SPENCER Pennington, and I thought to myself "TF he did?!?!"

Those days, it hurt to be a Bama fan.

CP10 had an league average arm, it just got wrecked by injuries. His anticipation and timing was always his true talent, he just lost a lot of torque on his ball.

Just as important as airing it out, having enough strength to get it there fast enough. Doesn't have to air it out, but it can't flutter in there either.

MHO and it's a bit brutal:

Bateman- probable starter. Plays like a pussy, deer in the headlights. Always takes the safer higher percentage throw vs the higher risk/reward throw even if both are wide open. Doesn't always make the best decision, makes the safest decision, even in the running game. Doesn't have the moxie to win a title. If someone can put the game on his shoulders, we're in trouble.

Barnett-the former chosen one who's been too busy chasing tail to up his game. Should be locked in a film room with Kiffin and a case of red bull until he gets his shite together and wins the job he was brought in to win. Needs to quit trying to be superman and just be above average man. With our defense, might be worth a couple of turnovers to see if he can learn the job.

Cornwell- Sadly SMH. No hope.

Hurts- F*ck it, he's got all the tools just not the knowledge. Throw him out there for some on the job training. Give him the job. Most upside, most eligibility left. It's a win-win.
