I agree with that, but it'd be easy for the team to overlook Washington. I mean we beat a team they lost to by 46.

Also Saban himself said the team was distracted in 2014. I think saying this team will undoubtedly avoid all the distractions just because they're in "championship mode" is a little silly.

The key for them is Peterson not Browning. The edge we hold though is in the trenches. USC only gave up 1 sack vs. UDub and 13 total yds by TFL. But USC had 3 sacks 6 or 7 TFL and they seemed to be in the backfield a lot. USC also held Gaskin(RB) to 51 yds and no TDs. Peterson will try and drop off short passes wuick to protect Browning but if UDub had a hard time with USC's front 7 then our group is fixin to eat.

We did not overlook MSU last year and this team finished undefeated because of their focus.

From what I have seen, UDubs DBs are feisty and very opportunistic. Lane or Sark will have to use the run to set up the pass. I think this is a situation where DH34/Jacobs/Bo should thrive. I wouldn't be surprised to see OJ have a big role in game planning.

They combined for 17Ints in a pass happy league where we had 11 on the season. Baker gets more credit for them because of his tackle totals but I would say King and Rapp concern me more then Baker for our WRs.

I think Washington is ahead of schedule. Lot of young talented players on that team. Peterson is an elite head coach and will have them ready to rock come New Years Eve. I've watched them a lot this year actually and they are opportunistic on defense and very efficient on offense.

That being said I don't see them running the ball on Bama. Browning will need to get the ball out of his hands early and often.

If Bama turns to the power run game, they will destroy Washington. Washington's D, while solid, will not be able to stand up to the rushing attack of Bo, Harris, Jacobs and Hurts. That should set up the play action pass. Bama would also be able to control the clock and limit the time Washington's offense has the ball.

My lasting impression of this entire season is
Cam Robinson yelling at kiffin coming off the field after 3-4 series of jalen struggling.
Telling kiffin to " run the dame ball man"
After bull-shiting the whole first half against lsu.
It saw us go on a 13 play 95 YARD drive were we threw once and ran 12 times.

Then Against AU after struggling we go on a 9 play scoring drive 6 runs to 3 passes.
I watched Washington lose to USC because of the Physicality of USC.
We need to pound them and take shots off play action.

I do expect jalen to make big plays with his legs.

On a side note:
I hope batmen stays mainly for guaranteed numbers(3).But honestly I really preferred The big arm of # 12.
The worst case if jalen gets dinged is our Running game and o-line should protect the pocket passer with a big arm.
So down the field shots will still be there.
As opposed to protecting Batemen who cant make a defense pay if they blitzed.

With David I think we can be a Coker led type Bama without,
Henry but RB by committee.

Bateman is transferring and maybe sooner rather than later. If we run both wide and power inside I think we wear their D down. They are large on the DL if I 'm not mistaken. If we pass I prefer to set a pocket as Jalen throws much better with his feet set. If not he should learn to throw it away OR when it is time to scramble BY GOD DO IT. He seems timid when it is time to jet.

Combine the above with our pass rush being ready and it is as Allen says, "Bama Does" time. If our D doesn't get after them it is closer.

They've got a really good interior defensive front.

Their best DE is out for the year in Joe Mathis as well as their best LB Azeem Victor.

Their DL reminds me of ND in 2011.

I expect us to play ball control. We don't want a shootout. Peterson is a great coach, I expect this game will be a lot tougher than most think it will.

I think it'll be a 31-17 type game.

Browning will be the best QB we've played all year. We are extremely thin at in the secondary so it doesn't take much for us to get screwed there. SDH also being out will weaken us in the short passing game. Our best weapon is aggressive pass rush like USC did. If Browning gets time like Appleby did it will be a long night.

Understand that Washington lost to USC at home.
They didn't play ANYONE this year outside of USC.
I think they're a good team, but I'm not worried.
The only team capable of beating us, in my opinion is Clemson. They're the only team that has a QB good enough, though their defense is terrible.
If we get lucky, OSU will beat them, and we'll face a QB who can't throw well = victory

We're the best team in the country, and we SHOULD win the championship

I felt this way initially until Saban's interview on the selection show. He said the players talked a lot about the playoffs and not a lot about the SEC championship. These boys will be dialed in. If we lose, it will be because Washington earned it, not because we weren't prepared.

I thought we were lucky to facing their 3rd string QB one year too.

If you go back and look Saban said they had a lot of distractions and they prepared incorrectly as it was their first time doing this type of system. Was corrected the next year if you recall. So two years ago means nothing at all. Sounds like something an OSU fan would say.

Browning had a horrid night against Colorado and USC. Pressure is key on him, he isn't a runner. Pressure = his doom.
