This has to be the slowest summer ever regarding news out of our camp. I'd love to hear some nuggets about how our new guys are progressing, which summer enrollees are impressing, etc.

I'd like to hear if Leatherwood is taking the next step at RT (we need him to.) How Bulovas is looking at kicker. If Diggs is getting more comfortable at corner and not getting roasted every play by Ridley/Foster. How does Ray at DE look?

Starving for some news...someone throw a dog a bone!

PS--is there a more active Bama board out there right now? Ever since the tidesports one died--there doesn't seem to be a super active free board anymore. Bamamag is slow, tidefans is weird, and this one is much slower than it has been the last year or two. Is everyone migrating to another board?

The young WRs must be pretty damn good for a solid WR like Simmons to transfer. He had a great spring and was in line to play a lot.

I heard Payne ripped the front of a bulldozer off and slung it over Bryant Denny.

I heard that Jerry Jeudy is lighting it up in 7 on 7 drills. I do wish we had a source of info for drills but we aren't far away from the start of fall camp. I wonder what the linemen do in summer workouts other than weights?

Time will tell, but I think Jeudy is our best WR since Julio

If he ends up close to as good as Amari Cooper was then I will be happy.

He was behind some serious talent last year. He will be fine.

This is LB U dialed up to 11.

The backfield is insane too.

In college it was Coop>Julio by far

Definitely, but despite the hate Kiffin gets, I would have loved to have seen what he would have done with Julio.

Duh
Julio is one of the best WRs of all time. He's already claimed a spot in the NFL hall of fame

Julio was great in college, but Cooper had way more production.

Cooper was a Heisman finalist. He set just about every receiving record Bama has.

In college, it's not even close. Cooper was much better.

Bama just didn't have the QB to make Julio elite in college.

I agree with Remaster.

Julio is one of the greatest recievers of all time, but in terms of college, when comparing the two, both have decent arguements.

If I were making them on NCAA 14:

Julio:
Catch: 75
Spectacular Catch:99
Catch in Traffic: 90
Speed: 89
Route Running: 85
Strength:85
Injury: 70

Cooper:
Catch: 99
Spectacular Catch:90
Catch in Traffic: 90
Speed: 85
Route Running: 99
Strength:85
Injury: 90

Coop had more yards but benifited from a different offense. I'd still take him over Julio if I had to pick one.

I love Coop, but Julio is going to be a NFL Hall of Fame receiver. He's the greatest player Alabama has produced since Derrick Thomas.

As a college player? Could be Coop, but Coop got to play with AJ in and then with Kiffin calling plays for him specifically. Julio played on those early teams, even including 2009, that were a step behind on offense. If Kiff had Julio in an offense he would have had 9 billion yards running reverses and catching balls.
