I don't know what's going on at Miss St. with these transfers but I like it. Hopefully it somehow helps us with all the miss guys we're going after.

Off topic but I wish Birmingham could get a future SEC tourney. We could then have at least a 50/50 split if we played UK and it wouldnt be 95/5 like last year.

They're talking about renovating the BJCC, so it could be possible once they upgrade the facilities. I think '08 was the last year they hosted a tournament (not counting the CUSA tournament) and the told them that they won't come back until they upgrade the facilities.

Birmingham should have built a new arena or a dome instead of a new field for a fricking Minor League Baseball team.

Birmingham should have done a ton of things over the years, instead of slowly burying it 6 feet under. At least some things are changing.

Yeah Mario Kegler asked for his release from Miss State yesterday and now Eli Wright did today. This comes right after Garrison Brooks left them. Doesn't look good for MSU. Maybe that'll help us with recruits like u said.

Maybe Woodard will realize Tuscaloosa is where he needs to be.

IDK why a bunch of y'all don't think we have a shot at him. Yeah his parents went there but come on how far away is MSU from the Capstone. Plus we just lap that university in everything. If this years team delivers on a above average season, the recruits will come.

Plus Woodard said his parents going there won't affect his decision at all

Not only that every recruit and their parents know who Avery Johnson IS. That is a huge benefit for us. Add in that Colin is top 5 recruit in a loaded 17'class. We are on everyone's radar now. I was at EYBL a couple of weeks ago and recruits know who we are and what the program is building.

Yup we struck gold with Avery. I dont care even if he takes another three years to right our basketball ship;I just know he will eventually take us to the promised land. If we just leave him alone.

This is the year he needs to right the ship. I'm not trying to wait till year 5. Grant didn't leave us in that bad of shape.

We need to at least win 23 games and make the round of 32

He left us in terrible shape imo. The roster Avery's first year had single digit wins level talent.

And Grant left my excitement level for Alabama basketball at like a 3/10 his last year. When Avery got here, it skyrocketed everyone's excitement back up, and now everyone knows we're serious about basketball again

What's a realistic seed for us in the tourney?

I don't see why a 6 or 7 seed is unrealistic. Maybe a 5 if we overachieve and get hot at the right time.

His last year we went to the NIT. Yeah we lost big pieces in Levi and Cooper, but let's not act like Grant had this program back to square one.

If you look strictly at how the media is viewing us before the team is even practicing together, I'd say anywhere from a 4-9 seed. I'd view it as a really good season if we were a 7 or better. Then again, I'll be extremely happy just making the tournament and having that excitement on selection Sunday again.
