We have room for both Corban Collins and Que Johnson. Collins actually plans to visit next week. Also, Romelo White just asked for his release from Pastner at GT. He liked us before he committed. Big talent big guy.

ESPN Scouting Report:
quote:

White is a long, athletic and mobile power forward that runs the floor extremely well. He scores in the low post with good patience with his right hand over his left shoulder with good touch. He is a is an above the rim finisher not only on the break but when he receives drop off passes created by dribble penetration. He is a good rebounder as well that is not afraid to bang and mix it up in the paint

Would love to get this kid, sounds like the kind of big man we need. Will likely end up at a blue blood in the end though. Top 100 kids that decide this late in the process typically get a lot of attention from the big guys that have an open scholarship.

Always a chance I guess. His mother actually said yesterday that he was still honoring his commitment to GT. The Atlanta Journal Constitution got a quote from him today, however, and he said he is officially "undecided" about staying committed.

Also, Que Johnson has stated that he has no visits planned but confirmed we're in his top 4. That's probably old news but I just thought I'd add.

Romeo looks good and I'm guessing he would be a take. IMO we need a under the basket guy who can just rebound. Tired of the 200 pound long athletes who can just block.

Where do we stand with Rayshaun Hammonds from Norcross, GA? He puts up great numbers with the Alabama Challenge, and we even have one crystal ball for him? Are we seriously recruiting him?

Also just found Troy Brown plays with two of my sons friends on his AAU team, Las Vegas Prospects. Asked my son to see if can find out any info.

By the way, the Prospects lost to Alabama Challenge today 68-65.

I'm not sure where we have prioritized Hammonds. Obviously I think Reese is highest at the forward spot but I'm not sure if Hammonds or Brooks would be higher. I'd go Reese, Hammonds, then Brooks if it were up to me.

I'd love any info on Brown. From what I've read on Twitter, it looks like Johnson was at a couple of his games this weekend and Simon was at most of them.

I also liked seeing Johnson and Pelphrey basically be at all of Petty's games and a good bit of Collin Sexton's games. That kid can score and he seems to do it fairly efficiently.

Is Hammond's a 2 or 3? I saw some highlights and he took a lot of outside shots.

I meant 3 or 4. I saw his film he looks like a tweener just like nick king IMO. I think him and Reese are different types. I think he is going to blow up. If he wants to come we need to take him. Looks a lot like Rod Grizzard IMO.

John Petty is a huge Kentucky fan? I don't believe that.

He's been a UK fan since he was 9. I think they said he's been a fan since Cal got there.

Yeah plus if he was a huge fan, he would've committed without thinking. I know I would've if my "dream school" offered me

From what I'm hearing he is committed, but just playing the game. Has been committed for a long time. He just wants the free trips and attention

FWIW, that's not really how basketball recruiting works for 99% of the players. If you're committed, you make it public and don't take other visits (Ferguson being really the only exception I've seen).

I'd feel really happy if Reese would commit right now and shut down his commitment.

If there's one position Alabama desperately needs going forward, it's PF.
