Alabama is ranked 9th in 247's composite rankings and ranked 9th in ESPN's as well.

I find the "Who they want" section in Alabama's class rankings write-up from ESPN hilarious though. Here is the prospects they listed: Booker, Hill, and Gant as the primary targets and Jackson, Robert Johnson?, and Mitchell as others that have been mentioned.

The only people I've seen us mentioned with recently from that list is Mitchell. And where the hell is Lee?

I don't know what this season entails, but one thing I do know is that the team has responded well to the new conditioning coach. Jacobs and Relly have both lost some good weight, and Taylor has put on some. I haven't seen Jacobs or Taylor, but Relly has posted some pictures on Twitter where the weight loss was noticeable.

Everything I've heard has been that the new coach is doing a great job. I haven't been on campus though so I haven't personally seen these guys either.

I'm super bored, and super excited about the 2014-15 season...so I decided to take a crack at the 2014-15 depth chart...

PG- Coleman Tarrant Mitchell
SG- Obasohan Randolph Key
SF- Cooper Randolph Norris
PF- Hale Kessens Lee
C- Jacobs Taylor Lee

This was a toughy.

PG
The starting PG spot is really hard to figure. I see Tarrant as more of a 2-guard, but we are pretty deep at the 2. I could see Coleman and Tarrant splitting the starting job depending on the match-up as well. I decided on Coleman just because he's a true PG.

SG
I think Retin will bust out this year as our 6th man. If he develops his passing this year (which was the worst part of his game last year) he could even be a threat to start at PG in 2014-15.

SF
I see Cooper taking the starting SF job this year and the next year as well because of his scoring ability. He's had the ability since he was a freshman, but he needs to become more consistent and confident in his shot. I see Randolph being the 6th man off the bench in 2014-15 and receiving most of the back up wing minutes.

PF
The PF slot was the 2nd hardest spot for me to figure out. Not sure how good Kessens is and Hale has yet to play a minute of college ball. But since I know Hale has a sweet shooting stroke I gave him the nod, though Kessens could get it for rebounding purposes.

C
I personally think it will be a fight between Jacobs and Engstrom for who will be taking the cut if Lee comes along assuming no one else transfers. I want to believe in both of them, but I can see Jacobs getting into shape easier than Engstrom fully recovering and getting over some of his coordination issues. If Jacobs makes the roster I think he will start at Center and split the minutes with Taylor depending upon the match-ups. I'm somewhat hesitantly putting my trust back in Jacobs because of the new strength and conditioning coach, but like I said before it won't take much for me to turn on him again.

“We have always talked about playing together,” Mitchell said. “When Justin pulled the trigger first it kind of woke us up that we can really make this happen, especially with our relationship with the coaches. After Riley committed I was like, “I want to go play with my guys.”

“Now I am going to work on getting JT Gant,” Mitchell said.

Not saying he can get him, but if he could....

I'm thrilled with the class, but I'm also glad we've got this new strength coordinator. Some wiry dudes to say the least.

Yea, he'll be much needed with this class, even more so if we land Lee.
