Yeah. Avery Johnson posted a pic on Twitter saying AJ Jr's bday was last month but he wanted to celebrate yesterday. Didn't give any reason why. The pic showed the whole team in their practice jerseys surrounding AJ Jr holding a cake. There's gotta be a reason he postponed his party for a month. Just happened to land on the day Petty visits.
Also, last night AJ Jr tweeted the address of the party trying to get everyone possible there. There's just something about that that seems.....different

Fwiw, my son's friend and HS teammate who plays EYBL with Troy Brown has changed his tune, says he is very interested in Alabama. In the past he has said he would never go that far from home, but now says Alabama has a real shot with Brown.

Alabama men's basketball has officially announced the addition of Southern Illinois grad transfer Bola Olaniyan.

Rumor is our staff is pursuing Herb Jones as hard as any other recruit. If he chooses to sign elsewhere it will not be due to lack of effort on our part. We are not slow playing him.

We may not be slow playing him now, but we definitely slow played him until the summer evaluation period by not extending an offer until then. Some writers have speculated that that really put off Jones towards Bama. Hopefully that doesn't come back to bite us in the end. I'd hate for him to end up at auburn or Georgia.
