That's why I was surprised that no decent schools really even looked at him. I would have thought a solid mid major would've come calling.

Stumbled across Kira Lewis on twitter and he has Avery Johnson on his profile header. That has to be a good sign lol

He was there for an unofficial visit about 2 months ago. Last weekend he was at Auburn and CBP really liked him. Of course none of that matters if/when UK, Mich.St and Duke make an offer. Those are his 3 dream teams at the moment.
As a side note, Kira Lewis is ranked as the #2 prospect in the state, #8 nationally for the 2019 class.

If we get a couple good classes going and the excitement builds I think he stays

I was REALLY pumped about the 2017 class, and then I sort of had the meltdown a few weeks ago. Just FYI, I'm back to being pumped ! I don't know why I felt the need to tell everyone that Lol

Tell him to try caring more about the team than himself this year.

Actually for your safety, don't tell him that

It's a long time until actual practices and the season, but how do y'all see the minutes for the 3-4 positions shaking out? It seems like it'll be quite a logjam with King, Norris, Key, and Hale all being able to play both spots while Olaniyan will also be at the 4.

For Bola it'll probably depend on matchups at the 4. I think Hale will pretty much strictly play the 4. The Key/Norris situation will be interesting if Hale solidifies his starting spot. My guess is Key and Bola backs up the 4 while Norris gets most of his minutes backing up the SF. I also think we'll see King and Norris slide to the 2 when Davis comes out. Our 1-3 positions are going to have some pretty sick length this year.

I don't see the logjam. We're 2 deep at the 3 and 3 deep at the 4. Hale has been injury prone so we need the extra body there. If Bola can anchor as post he might see some time at the 5. Seems like he could be a low post scoring threat that coach wanted last year.

Not to mention Taylor and the other bits not knowing how to play without fouling...

My Best Guess at the Depth Chart.....

C - Jimmie Taylor/Donta Hall
PF - Nick King/Shannon Hale/Bola Olaniyan
SF - Riley Norris/Braxton Key
SG - Ar'mond Davis/Brandon Austin/Lawson Schaffer
PG - Dazon Ingram/Corban Collins/Avery Johnson Jr.

I mean Hale and Norris have both spent time at the 4 for us, King was used as a 4 at Memphis, Key is a hybrid forward, and Bola is strictly a 4-5 so 5 guys that could theoretically play the 4 and 4 guys that could play the 3 seems like a logjam in my eyes?

Hale needs to strictly play the 4 because he's too slow for a good 3. I guess we will have to see on King. Obviously he transferred here to play the 3 but we'll see if his skill set can translate to that. I could see Davis sliding to the 3 for a scoring lineup if we wanted to have both Dazon and Collins in the game. On paper, we have a wide variety of lineups Johnson could go with.

Not sure how it will all play out, but damn it's nice to see some actual depth for a change.

On paper, that's a solid looking club.

12 guys on scholarship that are available

If we have no injuries, I can't remember a time of having this many scholarship guys that could play.

Norris had to play the 4 out of necessity. When Hale went down we didn't have a PF on the team. He's more of a finesse 4 anyway. Doubt we see Norris or King play much if any 4.

I could see a starting 5 of Ingram, Collins, King, Hale, Taylor with Norris, Hall and Key being 1st off the bench.
