Saw these three pictures back to back to back...

Henry is the only one continuing to hold the ball high and tight through the drill.

That's a beast. 6'0" 222lbs and freakish athleticism. He's gonna have one hell of a year.

Hope to hear a lot of talk about OJ Howard making some catches in practice. And less pictures of Yeldon carrying 2 balls because of fumblitis

i have a feeling the RBs will be carrying around 2 footballs at practice all year as a reminder. we would be sitting on another title or at least have ended the year on an upnote with a BCS bowl win if we could hang onto the ball

Anyone got the link to all those pictures y'all are posting?

Also I would like to see some extended film of Coker throwing by himself. A few deep balls too

Definitely. I think once he improves timing with the receivers, we'll be able to attack the field vertically early and often. Will we? I don't know, but I sure hope so.

What is insane is that he is flicking his wrists and just being fluid trying to go through the motions to get on the same timing with the receivers. When Cooper, White, and Foster start running fly routes at 4.3 speed and he puts some juice on it with his body into it... Thats going to be fun to watch whether they catch it or not. That threat alone where he basically can't under throw anyone is something we haven't had since Croyle. Brodie had an NFL arm, but shite receivers and OL play. DJ Hall was good, but not NFL good. Jimbo wasn't overhyping the kids arm strength. Every fan likes to praise their starting QB, but alabama fan or not, I don't think you can look anyone in the eyes and say that kid doesn't have the strongest arm in the SEC and arguably in the nation.

He gets some of those throws down, gets in timing with the receivers, and uses his wheels the right way at 6'5" 230. He is playing himself into being a better physical QB than McCarron. I don't think he will probably reach AJ's mental potential before he leaves Alabama, but if he gets his confidence built, there are going to be a lot of ranters really panicking and eating some serious crow.

It's definitely a cannon. Imagine a deep ball to someone like OJ Howard. You're talking speed and then a big 6'6" target going up and snagging a beauty down the field.

And we're only talking about his arm. He can make plays with his feet too. That's something AJ (who WAS criminally underrated at avoiding pressure) didn't give us.

Bateman looked solid in his video too.

Sims looked in rhythm. His balls seem to have less life than Coker's. Obviously he doesn't have the arm that Coker has. I don't think Sims should start (though I'm not qualified to make that decision), but I'd like to see him get a package where he can get just a few snaps a game. Give him the option to run or pass. The only thing if he does start, I think that takes away the threat of a deep assault that Coker provides.

Of course. But to clarify for the lurking Aubies and Corndogs, we're only talking potential. Those of us here haven't been overhyping like you'd probably see on Tidefans or Woolly. We're only talking about what he has the potential to be. We're not saying that's what he will be.

Agreed. 75 percent is in your head. Unless you run a read option every play like Auburn. Confidence early, trust in the OL, RBs producing, and Receivers at 100 percent will determine whether Coker becomes the real deal and best QB in the SEC

Just watching the video, it seems like most of Coker's problems are timing issues. Though he did throw a bad ball to DeAndrew in one of those clips. Other than that, if he gets his timing down, he should be good.

I hope so because AJ got exposed last year. It was evident AJ's success was do to the talent on the OL and around him. Last year when our OL was bad it exposed AJ as someone who easily broke under pressure. Way to many mistakes like throwing off backfoot, eyeing down his WR before the snap, etc.

I do agree on the arm and not underthrowing passes. Way to many last year where the WR had to stop or slow down to get the ball. AJ did know the plays and had great timing on the shorter routes where Coker may have to adjust some of the zing he puts on it.

The real question is can he command the respect of his team mates out there. Another thing I think that hindered AJ last year. A lot of me when the team was successful and a lot out of them when it was not.

Oh boy.

I'm not even gonna argue. Believe what you want to believe. I'd advise all of us to just avoid the subject. This is about the 2014 team. AJ McCarron was a key cog in the previous three teams, but he is not on this team. So we shouldn't have to go back to having the same argument here.

I feel like 7:30, but I'm not sure. I'll check.
