Defensive line a bunch of monsters, especially DJ Pettway who almost broke a tackling dummy. via @Tide991fm #Bama

Freshmen are supposed to practice tonight, but CB Tony Brown and OT Cam Robinson were practicing w/ upperclassmen. Good sign for both

definitely a good sign. both seem in line to start. I wonder what Big Cam's rise means for Brandon Greene

Looking forward to challenges.. the time is NOW. Everything now is in preparation for the next 4 or 5 months... this will establish identity. Confident in players that have, but up to them to buy in to be all they can be.

Want identity of team to be "we". Be together.

Say it every year, you never get it. We don't have a depth chart right now. What's out there is for administrative purposes.

Pleased with how they came back with conditioning tests. Just need to work on mindset of finish.

Personnel issues...

2 freshmen not here.. Bo Scarborough.. appeal in place, very close to qualifying...goal is to get him here in January

Leon Brown.. injured foot.. rehabbing, able to do some things, but limited at least 2 more weeks

Reed, Ivory and Williams suspended for violation of team rules and policies. Can return upon completion of assigned duties.. no timeline.

Focused on the guys there now, because they are doing everything right to be there to be successful.

Q on Eddie Jackson...

Eddie doing well, successful rehab. Limited on reps right now. Would like to not push too far, so will be on a pitch count that will gradually increase. Eddie took and passed all the tests. Cutting, changing direction will be the issues. Encouraged by his progress. No timeline on being 100 percent.

Q on Andrew White and Lake.

Both are 100%

Q QB chemistry..

Can't make comments right now. Focus is on what they do every day. All guys working hard and capable to develop. Down to 3 things.. guy who can have best judgement/decision making... most accurate...and leadership to effect others. Will take time, repetition to figure it out. No hurry to predict that position.

Q about Kirby over 2ndary now compared to issue last yr

Wasn't about coaching last yr. Kirby is a great coach. Lack of experience was issue last year that created a lot of issues/mistakes/errors and inability to play with consistency. This year, have more guys with more experience. Think these guys are more confident and should be more consistent. Last yr was youngest since he has been there.

Thank you.. its over

Good stuff. Williams and Reed being suspended hurts.

Ivory being suspended...I'm indifferent.

Depends on how long they're suspended. Not a set length of time. Just until they do what they're supposed to do to rejoin. Hopefully it won't be long. More important, is hoping they don't do something else.

i think Williams and Ivory will make it back soon, but I expect Reed to be suspended for 2 games. Hopefully he will get back on the practice field soon though.

Really makes me think they are going to give A'shawn some looks at NT.
