From this morning's teleconference:

@AaronSuttles: Saban: Josh Frazier did a really good job for us. Came in heavy, we had to get some weight off of him. Been rotating with the 2s.

@AaronSuttles: Saban: Both QBs have played well. It's our responsibility to give both players a fair opportunity.

@AaronSuttles: Saban: I'm not answering hypothetical questions about the quarterbacks.

Pretty sure it would be Morris in that case

If he didn't say Sims they'd say he's racist.

Saban: I really like the attitude this team has. They have the right stuff in that regard.

Trey is apparently out of shape anyway, gives Ragland/Reuben a chance to show what they can do I suppose. We need Trey'd wisdom of the D though.

Kiffin will be on the field as OC, not in the box.

Saban: DePriest was not something we anticipated. Foster and Ragland will start. Hamilton and Lee will back them up.

Saban: Eddie Jackson is "available" for the game. He will be on the travel squad to Atlanta.

Good news on Eddie. Guessing he'll be really ready to play by UF. No need to rush it first 3 games

Interesting, any rhyme or reason to this?

Saban said he usually lets the coordinators decide. Told a good story about how he used to always be in the press box as a DC, but Belichick told him to get on the sideline. You can do more to affect players on the sideline. Saban thinks Kiffin will be more effective on the field than in the box.

I like it. I've never been a fan of OCs being up in the box.

I recommend watching Saban's presser when it's on youtube. It was a pretty interesting story he told about it.

Probably a good idea for him to be on the sideline with 1st year starting QB(s). Plus we know Kiffin doesn't trust the headphones in BDS

That was awesome.

I'm interested to see they dynamic of all of the coaches on the sideline together in the heat of battle. Saban likes to chew his coaches out when they mess up, I want to see how Kiffin reacts.
