I think he's been a DE in a lot of the 4 man base fronts

He won't be a coverage LBer but he will fricking bring the heat as a pass rushing animal and will make shite happen, just wait till WVU

Tim W and RaShaan Evans will be hard to keep from getting PT especially Evans with his athleticism and size already and the speed factor he adds.

Our pass rush will be significantly improved

I'm glad WVU is the opener. They should throw it a lot. Gives our pass D some good work early, gives us a chance to look at the pass rush, etc.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up running a lot, even if down big. Just seems like a classic opener thing to do.

No Dana Holgorsen throws it a shitton whether winning or losing even movement RB as a slot, RB as the wide out PA motion etc

The only thing I don't know is how comfortable Holgorsen is with their QB, I know its a new RB stable

I expect a lot of pass rush because WVU will pass it easily 30+ attempts at least

Jacob Coker vs Clint Trickett is the real story here both FSU transfers lol. No but Trickett is a good QB so they will put the ball in the air alot. In fact our DBs and Pass rush should be well tested by the time we make it to FLA even if it's not against top flight competition those are live reps.

Our DLine is going to break Trickett in half.

Yeah, I expect WVU to be really aggressive on offense. They're going to do whatever they can to put pressure on our DBs as well as put pressure on our offense to put points on the board.

I really expect WVU to attack the edges in both the run and pass game. Very similar to what Oklahoma did early. They are going to test our corners in the run game and the short passing game, which is really where I feel like we suffered the most from poor CB play last season.

i dont think they are going to have time to do much besides dink and dunk on us, our DEs and OLBs are going to spend all night in the backfield against that o line.

I don't know why everyone is sleeping on WVU. Dana is off the wagon, and that's when he's dangerous. Think 2011 Dana, smoking rock and getting thrown out of casinos..

Yeah, I don't think it will be a cakewalk either. If we what we're supposed to do, then we will be fine...but we'll have a lot of new people out there who are learning their roles. It will be a bit bumpy at times.

all tweets are from Andrew Gribble and Aaron Suttles, below...

Saban: "I think Tony Brown will play." Names special teams and corner

Saban on freshman CB Tony Brown: "I'm encouraged by him and Marlon both."

Saban: team starts West Virginia prep tomorrow

Saban: "I think this team really truly likes each other ... I don't see a lot of negative people."

Saban: The biggest issue with Trey DePriest is his conditioning is not what it needs to be. says LB Trey DePriest is back to 100 percent injury-wise

Saban: Leon Brown would have been the starter @ right guard before he got hurt & Dominick Jackson would have challenged for a starting spot.

I think it's mainly because of their OL. It is expected to suck arse and they're expected to be aggressive on offense. That'll mean our front is pinning their ears back and getting after QBs, which favors us. Though WVU will try a lot of short, quick passes. I'd like to see a guy with length like Jon Allen getting his hands up and knocking some of those short ones away.

Depriest looks heavy in his midsection. Ragland and Foster look much better. SDH too.

DePriest and Dickson both seem to have some bad weight.

Just more fat, slow LBs.

Hightower and Upshaw didn't look that fat though.
