Ohio State landed QB Will Howard, a five-star defensive back in Caleb Downs, a star running back in Quinshon Judkins, along with possibly more. Which then led to Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin tweeting out an unconfirmed report on Sunday, appearing to throw shade at the Buckeyes...

I’m so glad he’s not our coach. He can’t check himself.

Ohio State just brought on Ross Bjork, the guy that knows how to waste more money than anyone else in the history of college football.

In 2019, college football hit the pinnacle. Now it is minor league NFL and not fun to watch. The transfer portal with instant eligibility crushed the sport.

Hopefully you passes leave the sports so it can be even more fun and less whiny. What I have seen is because of the portal and NIL, way more teams have a chance at making it all the way, including a program like Ole Miss. Got damnt, because of Syracuse's, coach, schedule, and portal additions, they could make the playoffs.

Very hypocritical for a guy who paid $650,000 for a defensive lineman rental.

This will all level out eventually. Case in point, Ohio State is throwing money around left and right because Michigan just won the NC and has beaten em 3x in a row. However, if Ohio State does NOT win a NC in 1-2 years, boosters and those contributing to NIL $$ for the transfer portal will stop.
Remember when NFL Teams did this with players? They tried to creat “dream teams” like the Eagles tried in 2012 or something. It failed miserably and eventually teams stopped it.

Exactly. Look at A&M. Spent a buttload of money, didnt win, and the players jumped ship.

This is the outcome of Michigan winning the championship, like Auburn in 2010 after Alabama in 2009. Let the money flow

If Lane could just keep his big mouth shut, he might be somewhere more relevant than Ole Miss.

$13MM will grow to $20MM then to $30MM before long. no poors allowed. big markets only. big wealthy markets. you are going to have a lot of formerly proud programs selling their souls and breaking the bank solely to field teams that MAY finish in the top half of the conference. But won't ever whiff a championship again.

It will end. Boosters will get tired of this. It is already happening at TAMU.

This is just Lane making sure the Ole Miss collective understands the price of poker nowadays in the portal. He's executing thinly-veiled fundraising lol.
