Mercer any good this year? Haven't followed them much but they were fun to watch in the tourney last year.

they are pretty damn bad, honestly. 254 in kenpom. it's the type of loss that eliminates you from tournament contention.
that said, we arent losing, so that wont matter. excited to see how we come out after a fantastic performance against seton hall.

Gotta win tonight. Then a good challenge at Kansas State Wednesday. 9-3 or 8-4 going into SEC play would be solid and keep us with a realistic shot at the dance if we play well in conference play.

Oh yeah we are definitely on pace if we perform well in sec play. Our ooc resume isn't incredivle but it won't keep us out like it did last year if we have a good conference run

Basically I see 2 losses to UK and 1 to UF, but the rest are games that we absolutely CAN win. LSU, Arky, Ole Miss are pretty good teams but if Thornton keeps beasting and we continue to get good play from Maten, then I think we're a solid team all around. Tenn, Auburn, Mizzou, and Miss St are all pretty bad. USC is improved but still not that good. I think that 12-6 should be our goal in conference play this year, then with a win or two in the tourney and we should be pretty much a lock.

Game sandwiched between Seton Hall and KSU, came out flat. Literally flat footed on D and got in foul trouble. That, plus turnovers and missed FTs, has made this closer than necessary.
