Question for UGA guys

Regarding Jonathan Taylor. It appears Alabama is likely to sign him. Not a lock but it looks like it from our end.
My question is, would Taylor have been starting for you this year or next? Idk exactly what base defense UGA runs now with Pruitt but assuming you run a 3-4 would he have been a starting NT for Yall? And what are we getting strength wise? Run stopper obviously.

Note: as most have stated on the Bama board, we are not excited about the kid's past and character but are hoping there is some information that we aren't aware of that is skeptical. But it appears that isn't the case and we just have to trust saban. Kind of indifferent about the new addition.

I don't think so to be honest.

The ultimate of thug pieces of shite

We are likely signing him to play NT when Robinson needs a rest or we want to play run stop and move Robinson to DE/DT combo assuming Reed goes pro. Hope Reed doesnt. Allen and pettway play the other DE but will likely both start next season if Reed goes pro to get our best 3 on the field. Hand Liner and Tomlinson will be our 2's

And that sound you hear is so many bama fan's self-righteousness coming to a screeching halt.

I honestly do think he would have been starting by the end of the year. I thought the kid had a lot of talent, but made multiple mistakes (one was obviously far worse than the other). I said before that I think that especially in this day and age you have to be careful about taking women-beaters because of the way your team perceived. That being said, I trust Saban to not let this kid make the same mistake again and try to be the influence he needs. I wish him the best personally, but obviously hope he doesn't pan out next year because y'all don't need any more help to be good (especially at the DT position).

Pretty much ended with Pettway but hard to continue spouting shite at Auburn taking castoffs when you take a kid like Jon Taylor.

Thornton. You need a nose tackle with size, and Taylor is a big boy. Our run defense left a lot to be desired and I think Taylor would have been a big help (along with Tray Matthews and JHC).

Doubtful. The dude is a monster strength-wise, but it didn't seem like it was clicking mentally. May have started in 2015 depending on his progress, but that's impossible to know for sure.
It's really surprising to me that major schools are interested given the current climate in football with the domestic violence problems.

That is literally impossible

He was penciled in to be our starter before he was booted.

As musch as everyone seemed to praise him during the offseason, he never seemed to contribute much in games. So not sure what you are getting, besides a kid not smart enough to play by the rules after getting a second chance.

You would think so, but you underestimate the gump nation.
Auburn's Felony Four happens. Bama fans point and laugh. Bama has 3 guys beat the frick out of 2 students and rob them. Allows one of them back, and say it's because he "didn't throw a punch".
Auburn brings in Nick Marshall, and bama fans point and laugh at AU being Thug U...they bring in Ty Flournoy-Smith.
Auburn commit Dee Liner gets arrested twice, and bama fans point and laugh. Then he commits to bama.
Nick Marshall gets popped for weed, and Bama fan's point and laugh at him getting a half game suspension. Kenyon Drake, Jarran Reed, and Dillon Lee get arrested...get spring training punishment.
Auburn has problems with Jovon Robinson's eligibility, and Bama fan's point and laugh. Then they recruit him.
Auburn takes Tray Matthews and Bama fan's point and laugh. Then they have to have the university president approve taking a female abuser.
Am I missing anything?

And then there is AU hiring Trooper Taylor and Bruce Pearl, who they point and laugh at regarding recruiting violations....who do they hire?

Cajunsacks, how do you feel about Bama signing Taylor?

We hired Kiffin before y'all hired Pearl.Remember all of the Aubs who were saying Pearl wouldn't end up at Auburn because of the integrity of your university and how Jay Jacobs runs the athletic department? Lulz.
Face it. Fans of both universities are hypocrites. To be a fan is to turn a blind eye to the weaknesses of your program while shining a light on those of your rival.
