I don't follow Alabama as close as tide fans do obviously so I'm really asking them, but it just seems like this season he's been quicker to get pissed off than in years past. It seems like he was much more mellow 3-4 years ago. I may be off base though, looking for opinions.

Yes.

The fans expect too much and it's starting to piss him off.

Not as angry as when he worked at the gas station in W. Va.

He is genuinely scared of your opinions of him. It keeps him up at night.

He said this is his most enjoyable team to coach because of the chemistry on the team. Said there aren't any cliques. In the past he would have some guys that were frustrated and not doing things the right way, his staff would have to devote more attention to the 3-4 guys that weren't buying in. He doesn't have that problem with this team, everyone knows their role.

While this team is like a large group of brothers, they were still making mental mistakes early on. That will always piss him off. He knows the talent he's assembled is good enough to win it all if they play smart football. He's been pretty mellow since he let the horses run though. The switch has come on and it's going to be a fun ride going forward this year.

Actually, he seems more laid back than I've ever seen him.

I expect to walk in his office one day to a sweet smell and foggy haze while he presses the door close button and puts on a dead set from the early seventies. I think he's growing his hair out a bit longer as well.

So last Saturday is still considered "early on"?

Every team makes mental mistakes throughout the year. I'm not sure what a game would look like where neither side was making mental errors. I suppose the defense would post shutouts, but that would mean that the offense wasn't executing.

The opposite actually. He's been trying to tone it down and let his players have fun (and it's been working)

So why not just post this on the Bama board with the other threads you start?
