As a student. Since I screwed around I may be in Oxford next fall if LSU doesn't workout. Visiting for the first time in December. Give me some ins and outs and tips as a Freshmen.

Why 2012? Was that the year you graduated middle school?

I strongly recommend getting super drunk and punching one of the mounted police horses in the nose as hard as you can.

You're going to be that dick that couldn't get into your state school and then ends up obnoxiously rooting for LSU your whole time aren't you? My advice is to take classes that interest you, have fun but be disciplined and study too and get out of LA and MS the first chance you get.

No sir If I go to Ole Miss I will end up rooting for the Rebels. I think it will naturally come. Also I may go to ULL instead since its my hometown school then eventually transfer to LSU. But if I decide Oxford then I will end up becoming an Ole Miss fan.

Not trying to rain on your parade or anything but getting accepted to OM is about as tough as getting accepted to DeVry.

It is pretty damn easy to get in but to our credit we're slowly starting to get a little harder.

Don't think just cause you got in so easy means the school is easy. Hundreds of kids fail out here every semester because of that mentality

True. I've never understood why people assume low admission standards = easy school.

Good. You had your time off. Be disciplined. I really wish I could do the undergrad thing over. I like reading/listening to history and learning new things now. College days, not so much. Ended up going to law school and getting lucky to make a good living, but if i had the same discipline i had in law-school during undergrad, i would probably be retired by now.

Yea hopefully high school was just a stumbling block for me. It feels good to finally accept my failures and move on. I now realize how easy high school would've been with just a little bit of effort. I would always make excuses about how hard my high school is (which it is) but would never just try to make it better.

I had a professor at Ole Miss that attended Harvard for 2 years and only made 1 B... The rest As... He then transferred to LSU due to rising tuition costs and he only made 1 B his first semester in Baton Rouge.. The rest Fs... Said he got a taste for NOLA and was there every weekend that LSU didnt have a home football game.

Go to class and meet with your professors after each test and you'll be good to go... MUCH easier said than done.
