head to head, since that time period, yes they are.

They have more titles though since then. However, we have legit gripes on 1983, 1993, and 2004 in that time period, in addition to winning it in 2010 and playing for it in 2013.

Late 80s had multiple SEC title winners.

1988 Auburn, LSU
1989 Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee
